I had a opportunity to visit this small town,Las animas,Co .for bird watching. Bent county has marvelous praire, has over 300 specious of birds. also has very rich american history .Hotel was situated on Old 50 hiway , so convienient for day trip. with clean,bed , pillow,, sheets were looks like 250 theread count. had very comfortable night.. I chose this motel based on the reviews and on the location. I recommend it to others who want a clean motel and a good value. We stayed here Labor Day weekend 2007. Wouldn't have been my first choice, but hotels in the town we were visiting were full. This best western ended up being a little better than I expected. Stayed a Saturday night during a fishing trip to nearby John Martin Reservoir. I'll give it a 3/5 rating, but this would be a lower level two star property if on Priceline.com, certainly below the Hampton Inns and such. But considering the small town/remote area it's located in, certainly provided an acceptable stay for one night. Only 38 rooms available... more

An older Best Western in the dusty town of Las Animas. It was just adequate for one night's stay. Staff was very cooperative and they throw in a relatviely full breakfast in the restaurant. By far the best overnight spot in Las Animas. more

western fort inn.. it is nice place, so Quiet.. two queen bed, pool. free breakfast .and also their pool too.U. go to anywhere there is very small town but it is very nice.. we stayed there 4 days and nice weather.. enjoy our vacation.. thanks... DJB more
