We get through Lamar several or more times a year. Usually stay at the Holiday or the RV park motel. Thought we'd give this a try .. especially since the restaurant was open and advertising steak. Room seemed adequate, and dinner was good. The staff was very attentive and really trying. Temps were going to be right around freezing So... More

The rooms are comfy. The Wifi is very strong. Very good price! Even being next to the highway, it's still very quite. Especially if you stay on the east side of the hotel. I will stay again, for sure.

The only hotel that advertises a pool and hot tub in Lamar, Colorado. One problem though, no pool and/or hot tub are available due to construction. The front desk people even gave us towels for the pool, but it was all locked up tight with padlocks. The continental breakfast was pretty sparce, no bacon, no eggs, just cereal and fruit.... More

We stopped here overnight and would not stay here again. The carpet on outside stairs to the second floor was worn and torn which made for a treacherous trip up and down with suitcases. The carpet in the room was rumpled and uneven. There was a large standing fan plugged in near the bed which we moved so we wouldn't... More

The motel was an older one and we were able to park in front of our room and enter from the outside (yes they still have some of these) the rooms were small but adequate and quiet. the service was friendly the check in and check out went well and I was able to use my travel points to pay... More

Rodeway Inn is always our last choice. This one was being remodeled - it had fresh paint and the bed and bath were clean. The carpet was horribly dirty. Breakfast room was not convenient. These Rodeway Inns do not meet the standards of Choice Hotels.

This was the only hotel with openings. I was hesitant because of all the trucks, but we were stuck with this. It's run down but the owner said they have just took it over & are doing remodeling. We could see the vision in his eyes. The beds & rooms along with showers were awesome .& the breakfast has to... More

I've got to stop reading negative reviews prior to getting a hotel. Upon arriving, there was a sign indicating the DUST and a list of what was being done to improve the place. We were greeted immediately and quickly checked in. Our room was on the second floor. The headboard was a little odd, but otherwise room was fine. There... More

Thank you Bart for your kind words. It is unfortunate that we hear the most from the bad side and not a lot from the good side so Lee and I really appreciate you taking the time to respond. We have about 1,500 rooms stays per month so I don't feel to bad about the few bad experiences. I only... More

The hotel smelt damp when we arrived. On entering the room, it felt worse. Parts of the carpet were damp as was the bedding. But the best of it was a storm came in and the building moved, the rain poured in through the reception windows. The chandelier in the foyer was swaying. At this point I was becoming very... More

Hi, so sorry to hear about your experience while you were in Lamar. You might not have realized it but you were in the middle of a 90 mile per hour sideways rain storm that caused considerable damage to the citizens of Lamar, however, I can assure you that our solid brick building did not move. I know you were... More

Hotel was supposedly built in the 70's by local cattle ranchers (hence the name). Has been updated pretty well, still shows the signs and layout of an older place but actually a nice place to stay. Has a bar/lounge and restaurant, smaller hot tub and open interior pool area, redone while we were in town in 2012 so the update... More

Thank you Nate for your kind words. We enjoy hearing from folks that understand the trials of a full remodel while still trying to keep the door open for our guests. It has been a fun time for us to work on the property and we still have more to go. We'll get there soon with support like you. Safe... More
