Our semi truck broke down and this place was mentioned.. So we stopped look in rooms before checking in.. Boy was I surprised. This little town has a holiday inn and has HORRIBLE reviews.. This place is calm quiet well protected. The owner/manager is the sweetest helpful person.. What hotel will give u a body towel, hand towel and wash cloth... More

Stopped here after a long days drive. Host was very nice. We got a king room for $55 including tax. It's clean, bathroom recently updated and bed is nice. Not much to eat around but I would "NOT" suggest Hickory house. Horrible food and bad service. Bad experience there.

My husband and I decided to check-in in the middle of the night after a very long drive. We were absolutely exhausted and the owner got us to our room in record time. The room was extremely clean and the linens were fresh. The bed was very comfortable and we fell asleep almost immediately. The bathroom was very nicely done.... More

Great place to stay in Lamar. Very friendly and helpful owner/host. Clean room and inexpesive and an adorable Yorkie greeter - Turk. Easy to find and easy to get out of town. Ask about coffee and Mike will give you a pot with Gevalia coffee to make your own. Big bathroom with lots of hot water and the A/C works... More

Nope, this isn't the Holiday Inn.... the Holiday Motel is a family run place... it's pretty quirky with giant horse and bear statues serving as mascots located on one of the balconies.... It's 45 -55 for a room with cable. It's not fancy for sure but the water pressure is great and the water gets nice and toasty so i'm... More

I was passing threw Lamar and the bear and horses on the balcony caught my eye so I pulled in, the married couple at the front desk were so welcoming!! I believe the names were Rick and Amanda. Amanda had been baking all day and she fixed me up a lil late night snack to take to my room. This... More

I chose Holiday Motel as it was the cheapest available option in Lamar during my six day stay working in the area. It's about as average as you can get. Rooms were clean, AC worked great, bathrooms were extra large, included a fridge and microwave but no breakfast. "You get what you pay for" - well, I'd say you get... More

We stayed here on a Monday night, and paid with a credit card. The charge went through in a few days. Then 4 days later there was another $200 charge on my account. I contacted them, and they said they thought we took something from the room, but they found out later it was an employee who stole from three... More

Traveling to Flagstaff from Chicago on Amtrak, we decided to use the Holiday Motel in Lamar, Colorado, as a mid-way rest stop. The Motel is within walking distance of the Amtrak Station, which is located in the Historic Lamar Railroad Station/Colorado Welcome Center at Lamar. The Welcome Center provided free coffee, WiFi, nice restrooms, and helpful information from friendly volunteers.... More

I’ve been traveling through Lamar a couple of times a year for the last 15 years. I usually stay at one of the national hotel chains, but this time decided to read what people on Trip Advisor had to say. I’ve never been steered wrong by Trip Advisor… until now. There is no way the Holiday Motel should rated among... More
