We found it was a great place to stay and rest after camping and hiking in the area. The rooms are very clean, despite being older. They have character. The bed was comfortable, the extra pillows were helpful, and the room had both a space heater and a fan to adjust for the changing mountain weather. We didnt use the... More

The cabin we stayed in was clean, although old and small. The bed was comfortable. Coffee was supplied. It is within walking distance of the city park where we went for the Lake City Wine Festival. Lake City has some nice walking trails accessible from the cabin.

Many of our church members got together for a few days of fun and fellowship in and around Lake City this August. Lake City Resort was our base. As a single, I had a studio which was very amply equipped and supplied (even had a drip coffee maker, filters AND ground coffee!). Two extra pillows was a nice touch! The... More

The kitchenette room was good after a long ride along the Alpine Loop. We were glad to get the room and at $79 the rates are reasonable BUT not a cannibis friendly place to stay. Lake City hasn't gotten on the bandwagon but according to locals the next election might prove otherwise.... Suitable for base camp.

This rustic motel is located across the river from town. The distance to town is negligible--you can easily walk there. The management is very understanding and hospitable. She tries to accommodate you and will attempt to fix what is wrong. The rooms are outdated (think early 80s) but are very clean and functional. The kitchenette is more like a kitchen... More

The Lake City Resort is located towards the south end of town and in a pleasant area. The room I occupied smelt old and damp. Don't think it was actually damp, it just needs airing and freshening up. The room was certainly clean but needed an upgrade. The bathroom was small and depressing. Kitchenette was an old style but reasonably... More

Compact cabins with double bed and small kitchen, perfect for overnight while hiking, climbing the area. cleanest I have ever stayed in. Great value, quiet, accommodating owner. Parking right out front, deck, good location

This is my second time to stay at Lake City Resort this summer. The cabins are definitely a blast from the past - charming style from a bygone era. Both units I have stayed in have been squeaky clean, and the maids should be commended for their thorough work. The manager has been helpful and patient both times that I... More

The room had a small kitchenette that we didn't use and the bathroom was very small and the tub dripped non-stop. The floor felt spongy by the doorway, the TV was a 13" poor quality image, and the bed sheet corners came up on the mattress.

We only spent one night at Lake City Resort, but the accommodations were acceptable and we got a good night's sleep. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. We didn't get to use the kitchen, but it is a nice feature for those who need one. The room was somewhat small, but ok for just the two of us.... More
