Place looks cute, but we'll never know! Made reservations more than 6 months prior to visit; arrived with family to discover we had been moved to another (very unacceptable) motel in town which was totally disgusting. Manager had not contacted us to let us know or we'd have made other reservations elsewhere, even out of Idaho Springs if necessary. When... More

A hidden gem tucked away in town. Not far off of the interstate and near the town's main drag, this cozy spot is a nice place to land. The room was lovely and clearly gets TLC. Be aware of 10:00 checkout.

Homey feel, CLEAN, quiet, and comfy beds. What more do you need? I have had some poor experiences with the big chains during my stay in colorado; this was a very pleasant change of pace. Management was friendly, even as we rolled in pretty late. Highly recommend this gem of a motel.

I had booked a room for a single night both in June and August, 2015. Unfortunately I had to cancel my June reservation but truly looked forward to going back to the Inn in August. When I got my confirmation of my June cancellation, I also received notice that they cancelled my August booking as well. I called the property... More

This is not a review:Rather an irritable expression. Group did not stay in June (cancellation). Review is inappropriate: My Cancellation Policy, should not be considered in comprehensive overall rating criterion...Cheers, Sam Salter More

I arrived exhausted after driving between winter park and denver...and found this sweet, unassuming hideaway. My room was decorated with flowery quilts, 2 queens and a futon, microwave, refer, AC, and interesting framed art. Even a dropleaf table and chairs suitable for dining. Word of mouth keeps this place full. Moderate rates, located near Safeway. Watch for the purple neon... More

Our stay cost us around $99+ after tax for an overnight stay in a room furnished with 2 beds. FYI we had our two dogs with us. The beds were comfortable. The owner was pleasant and the inn was quaint. We appreciated having outside room access. My husband and I usually never dish out that much money on a hotel.... More

I booked this room oneself: I was told 1 dog in your party... Hence, sneaking an additional dog into our only PET room #22 was woefully underhanded. Pet room #22 is defunct... Ice machine has been in the office for 20 years...Soap was in the bathroom cup along with shampoo and conditioner. Your feeble mindlessness has been rewarded : No... More

We decided to get away for 2 days. This is the most beautiful and quiet lodging you will ever find. Super nice owners and our room was stunning. Room 4 will be ours from now on. We will be back for sure and can't wait for our next mini break. Thank you to both for an amazing restful 2 days.... More

The room I stayed in felt more like a home than a hotel. The bed was big, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and courteous. The hotel was nicely located near the downtown area. I would definitely stay here again!!

This is not a mini-Mariott, but is an older property that has been renovated into a clean, attractive property with great bedding and location. the prices, while not Motel 6, are very reasonable for the quality of the room we stayed in. Freshly painted, well decorated, and with Wi-Fi and all the basic amenities.

Stayed again twice within two weeks. We try to use Columbine as a convenient place to stay the night before our flights out of Denver as its maybe 1.5 hours away from the airport there. Sam has always done right by us, and the price is right. Its a bit quaint and old school, but it's nice to stay in... More
