When my husband booked this B&B because he was riding the Iron Horse Classic cycling race from Durango to Silverton, I wasn't sure what to expect. The photos on the website looked very pretty, but I've seen that movie before (website looks great, place doesn't match up.) We stayed at the Oak Casita and I was impressed by it's large... More

What a wonderful place. Everything about our stay was memorable, but the Upper Spring House feels like another world. A peaceful nest surrounded by beauty. It is out of sight of the rest of the ranch, so it seems like you’re all alone. The first couple days we were there were cold and rainy, but the unit is cozy with... More

My husband and I booked an overnight stay at The Blue Lake Ranch on our way back from a trip to the Grand Canyon. We had booked the Sage Room, since it looked so pretty, charming, and intimate in the photos. When we arrived that afternoon though, we discovered that we had been displaced by a wedding party that had... More

We just returned from a trip to the southwest which included a stay at the Blue Lake Ranch. I can't find enough superlatives to describe this inn. The setting is wonderful, the rooms beautiful, the staff warm and welcoming. Breakfast is terrific and you have a great view of the lake while you eat. Frank, the innkeeper, is the friendliest,... My husband and I stayed here for a delayed honeymoon in the middle of March. When we arrived, one of the owners greeted us right away and was incredibly welcoming. While the staff apologized that we weren't there in time for the spring flowers, we just felt grateful to escape the heat of Arizona--the partly cloudy skies, cooler temperatures, and... More

My husband and I stayed here overnight with a couple of friends. The rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable furniture and a fireplace in each room. The breakfast was delicious (they have an awesome chef), and the service was great. The views from every window in our suite were breath-taking. We would recommend this location to anyone who wants... More

Rented the lake cabin and felt like a second home right away! Remote feel but all the B&B luxuries on site. Really enjoyed the full breakfast that was cooked fresh each morning and didn't cost a penny. Go when they offer a course meal dinner,it was first class all the way!

We wanted to have a different experience than a typical hotel while visiting Mesa Verde National Park, and so we chose Blue Lake Ranch B & B. The property is about 30 minutes to the Park, so not very far. It is also about 20 min. to Durango, which was also a plus (we arrived from Santa Fe). The property... More

I organized a nonprofit retreat of 22 people at the Blue Lake Ranch in mid-October. The property, about 40 minutes away from the airport, is beautiful and spacious with nearly 20 rooms located in 5-6 individual houses, each with private bathrooms, a perfect fit for our group. I got countless compliments about the spacious and well-appointed guest rooms, the breakfasts... More

We stayed here three nights while visiting Durango for a family burial. We have stayed in downtown Durango in the past but decided upon this location as it sounded peaceful. I will admit that I was beginning to wonder what I had reserved as it did take about 20 minutes or so past Durango into the countryside. Once we found... More
