We arrived with 14 people, 12 horses and 8 dogs! The "girls" shared a big cabin, couples shared other cabins, my husband and I stayed in the motel, so we experienced most of the accommodations. They are a combination of old, dated and charming, pretty old ranch Colorado. We had a great group dinner at the restaurant (cafe) with an... More

If you're looking for a 5 star hotel, go somewhere else. However, if you're traveling to see Colorado for what it really is, stay here. While the accomodations are a bit "dated", they are perfectly suitable. The real experience here is the wildlife. While staying, we were fortunate to see plenty of bear, hummingbirds, chipmunks, deer, etc. and rowing on... More

If anyone has traveled I-70 by Dotsero you know how desolate this area is. Approxminately 17 North is this wonderful little resort. It's dog friendly, clean, owners are very friendly and relaxed. It has a motel that has 4 units (we stayed in one of these) and about 6 cabins. The motel and cabins are very old and don't look... More

We have traveled to Sweetwater lake for weekend getaways for 4 years now. It is very unique in todays life of cell phones and constant noise. At sweetwater lake, you will not find that. Our favorite activity is the row boats. The hummingbirds are very entertaining. And the simplicity makes you not want to leave. My wife has a busy... More

Dirty, bath, broken toilet, used soap, spider webs everywere, 2x4 holding up bathroom sink.old appliances. bareley enough dishes to eat out of. Hot no fan no ac. Bedrooms were old old old comforter, dirty screens holes in screeens. Beds that do over lap on the box spring. Squeeky almost comical beds that you can barely get onto without falling out.... More

We had the best time there and rented the Gregg cabin. There were so many creative touches sewn into the character of this cabin. It was warm and cozy. To me, it felt like my grandmother's home when I was young and it was a very happy place to live in the three days we were there. The kids found... More

We stayed a week at the Sweetwater Lake Resort. It is the most beautiful place where one can experience the untouched perfection of the rockies. The lake reflects the vivid blue of the sky and the walls of the canyon dotted with pines, aspens and wild flowers. The Brink's are lovely, salt of the earth kind of people who go... More
