We stayed here the week before Memorial Day and had a great stay. Our hotel room was large and comfortable but most importantly, it had a balcony that had a view of the snow covered Rockies plus a great view of Grand Lake! I think my wife and I spent half of our time on the balcony. The hotel has... More

My wife and I was staying in Colorado and booked a cattle drive in Kremlin, staying in Estes Park and having to be there early in the morning I decided to book a night in The Gateway inn in Grand Lake, seeing the photo of the room I thought the $129 would be worth it. After a spectacular drive down... More

Hi Ian P, Thank you for taking time to review our hotel. We take pride in our hotel and try to make the pictures seem exactly like the rooms. All of our rooms have a bit of different western or rustic décor. It us unfortunate that not all of our rooms have the beautiful view of the lake or mountains... More

The entire place is rustic. It has beds and furniture made from wooden logs. The decorations are all wildlife images including the toilet paper holder. Very mood setting for a RMNP adventure. There is an amazing lounge area with a fireplace, couches, TVs, a full bar with snacks and a happy hour from 4-6 & a wide variety of board... More

Hi SunTn, Thank you for taking time to review our hotel. We work really hard at making our guests feel welcomed and at home and are glad you like our rustic mountain décor. Yes we are a bit away from the village but I'm not sure you can get better views from our deck. Again thank you for the review... More

We stayed here 2 nights during offseason in early April. Because of this, we were able to stay for $170 total. For that price the room had king size bed, balcony, and lake view from the top floor. They are rustic lodge style, everywhere was clean and neat. There are a lot of antique furnishings and a lot of stuffed... More

*tips: don't go to happy hour at this hotel, go into town and get much better drinks for a much better price. Hot tub is luke warm. Staff rude. After reading reviews I now understand why so many comment on the hehe ruse staff. After reading all the reviews about this hotel I was more than excited to take my... More

We’d like to start off with an apology for the issues that occurred during your stay here at the Gateway Inn. We have addressed the staff about how we like our guests to feel while they enjoy their time with us. We spent several nights at the Gateway Inn, and found it extremely comfortable. We loved the balcony and the easy walk or drive into town. The room was clean, and the refrigerator and microwave made it easy to manage leftovers from the restaurants in town. We enjoyed happy hour at the bar in the lobby and on the shared balcony... More

What a BEAUTIFUL place! Peaceful and relaxing with gorgeous views! Went on a whim with a Groupon because we just wanted to get out of the house. We live in Ft. Collins and I thought this was on "our" side of the Rockies......(Estes Park)- after looking at map I realized it was on the other side- and with Trail Ridge... More

We had a room with king size bed and balcony facing the lake and mountains, absolutely beautiful! The staff was kind and helpful and we enjoyed our time in the lounge. The room with a king size bed and balcony was very clean and comfy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. This was our first visit to Grand Lake area and it didn't disappoint.
