My family and I went up for Christmas. Not only did the refrigerator not work but the sink would not drain. And we did get offered a new room but it was half of the size of what we paied for. And the staff sent up the guy who shovels snow but he didn't know anything about the fridge. So... More

The unit we had wa pet friendly. It consisted of a living room/kitchen, bedroom, and bath. The bedroom had a single and a queen size bed. The living room had a sofa that converted into a double size bed. The unit was very clean, warm, and quiet. The furnishings are average. We had no maid service but could swap dirty... More

It's old. The rooms in the main lodge are shabby. Furniture old and not antique old. No a/c, no breeze in the summer on the top floor of the lodge. Old carpet. Needs a makeover. No view - high windows with an overhanging eave.

It is unfortunate "Tree-house Suite" in the historic building (est. 1915) was not what you were looking for and we hope you return to stay in a condo in the future! The Rapids has the most variety in accommodation in Grand Lake and this is what makes our property so appealing - between the newer Condos, new Rapids Suites, Cabins... More

We made a last minute reservation to the Rapids Lodge. I originally was hoping for a historic room in the lodge or one of the cabins, but we got a suite. This is a newer building and the furniture and kitchen are modern. We stayed in #3 which is handicap accessible and found it to be quite roomy and clean.... More

We had originally planned to spend this particular night of our vacation in Estes Park but the floods forced cancellation. After some research on Grand Lake, we settled on the Rapids Lodge because of its history and unique setting. Our original reservation was for Lodge Room #2 "Columbine". After checking out the room size and realizing that we had failed... More

We stayed in room #4 "River song" for 5 days, including 2 extra due to the Boulder flooding. Normally the rapids might not be flowing, but due to recent rains we were treated to beautiful sound in our room, & lovely scenery behind the hotel. Room is spacious, very clean, decor flowery/lacey, a tiny bit worn/faded, nice 4 poster bed.... More

My husband and I stayed in the Never Summer Cabin. The cabin is a very small vacation cabin facing the Rapids parking lot. The photos on the rapids website seem pretty accurate. Good stuff: -Convenient location near trails, 2 minutes walk from town -Comfortable bed -The kitchenette has everything you need for a short visit for a couple, (but no... More

We had a condo right by the stream, where we watched other guests fish for, and catch, trout. The only complaint was with the bar stools in our unit, which were far too tall to allow anyone to sit comfortably at the counter. Had there been a dining table, that wouldn't have been a problem, but there wasn't. (There was... More

Beautiful setting, quaint lodge, intimate setting, lovely rapids, and wonderful room! We loved our stay at the rapids lodge in grand lake, co. We stayed on the 2+ condo. We thought there was a 3rd room, but the Murphy bed and fold out couch are in the living room/dining area. Rooms were decent size, kitchen had everything we needed, and... More

The Rapids lodge and Restaurant is a wonderful, charming place to enjoy three days or so. Built in 1915 (or thereabouts), it is standing, living history. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained. Each room is a little different and offers its own character. It is cozy and quaint, in every wonderful sense. The floors creak, the doors sometimes do... More
