Rooms are clean, comfortable, in simple rustic style. Price quite reasonable for Grand Lake area. Rooms don't have AC but no problems with heat or pollen in summer due to higher elevation than more touristy Estes Park to east. Set back enough from highway to escape road noise. Better than average continental breakfast. Proximity to west entrance to Rocky Mountain... More

so nice to have a convenient place - well kept, park at the door, scenic view, easy close access to Rocky Mountain National Park. Not crowded like Estes Park area. Lakes are so lovely and relaxing. Friendly owners - very helpful suggesting restaurants, etc.

This place is located outside of Grand Lake. It is an older style motel where you can park in front of your room which is nice. Robert the owner, turned on the heater in our room when we called for a reservation. They have an adequate breakfast. The room was fine.

I have stayed at the Black Bear Lodge numerous times this Summer. Robert and Therese are absolutely wonderful. They take an interest in getting to know their guests and their preferences. They have made many improvements since taking over the lodge earlier this year. Every time I come back they have made another improvement. They have even asked me my... More

We stayed in a king room with kitchenette and found everything we needed. There is a new owner there, who is trying to upgrade the place. The sheets and towels are much better quality than is typically found in a motel type room. The internet works very well and is super fast. Out front are chairs with a great view... More

Bob and Therese are great! Very nice people with a charming place! The beds are super comfortable after a long 9 mile hike in the park. Very close to everything without the expensive grand lake price tag! Can't wait to go back!

Black Bear Lodge provides superb personal service by new owners, Therese and Bob, who are upgrading and improving the rooms. These couldn't be more comfortable and clean! The Lodge is back from the highway so noise is a minimum. The pool and sauna are excellent revivers after a good hike in the national Park! Coffee and a light breakfast are... More

My husband and I recently spent one night here. We were happy with our stay. The room was clean and welcoming. The pool, hot tub and sauna are a nice touch. The hot tub and sauna area is very nice and clean. We will definitely return in the future.

Robert, and Therese are by far two of the most accomadating hosts you could meet. They have taken the lodge to a new direction of customer satisfation in there short time as owners. You will like the clean, quiet, and well equiped rooms. Just a stones throw from the town of Grand Lake, and the Rocky Mountain National Park. We... More
