We stayed in a king room with kitchenette and found everything we needed. There is a new owner there, who is trying to upgrade the place. The sheets and towels are much better quality than is typically found in a motel type room. The internet works very well and is super fast. Out front are chairs with a great view... More

Bob and Therese are great! Very nice people with a charming place! The beds are super comfortable after a long 9 mile hike in the park. Very close to everything without the expensive grand lake price tag! Can't wait to go back!

Black Bear Lodge provides superb personal service by new owners, Therese and Bob, who are upgrading and improving the rooms. These couldn't be more comfortable and clean! The Lodge is back from the highway so noise is a minimum. The pool and sauna are excellent revivers after a good hike in the national Park! Coffee and a light breakfast are... More

My husband and I recently spent one night here. We were happy with our stay. The room was clean and welcoming. The pool, hot tub and sauna are a nice touch. The hot tub and sauna area is very nice and clean. We will definitely return in the future.

Robert, and Therese are by far two of the most accomadating hosts you could meet. They have taken the lodge to a new direction of customer satisfation in there short time as owners. You will like the clean, quiet, and well equiped rooms. Just a stones throw from the town of Grand Lake, and the Rocky Mountain National Park. We... More

We where very pleased with our stay and found the new management under Therese and Robert to be extremely accommodating. They enabled us to check in early as our room was ready. The kitchenette in our room was very immaculate. The refrigerator was already on and the clock was set on both the microwave and the side of the bed.... More

Under new management - new owners are exceptionally polite and attentive. When we had trouble with the WIFI, the owners worked very hard to find a solution to send an urgent email back to our office. The hot tube was clean and was equipped with a dressing room and shower. The rooms are clean and in good working order. We... More

My family and I have been going there for over 6 years. I love it! Rustic feeling, enough space, price is right. I can not afford pricey when there are 6-8 of us, so I accept that we are not staying in the Hilton!!! The kitchenette is perfect as is the location! We are booked there for the 4th of... More
