The hotel is near the airport, pretty far from the downtown. It's the best of the hotels in the area and possibly in Grand Junction, but there's not much else to choose from. The restaurant was pretty good. Make sure to request a room away from freeway. more

Stayed here two nights in mid-August. It was quite busy with families of kids returning to the local college (Mesa State). Overall an excellent property that has been completely renovated over the last couple of years. Pros: Easy location, very nice and clean facility, good restaurant, nice pool and hot tub, and (as always) great and comfortable rooms. Excellent staff who took very good care of my family. Cons: Really can't think of any. more

As the GM of a property in Vail, I can be a little critical of other hotels when I stay there. The GJ Doubletree was just great in every regard. I'll definitely call them first whenever I return to Grand Junction. more

This hotel is close to the Interstate, but in a rural setting. Everything typical of a good Doubletree hotel. Particularly liked the courtesy van which will take you into Grand junction and pick you up again. Only problem was at breakfast, where they are totally understaffed and it takes far too long.
