Owner very friendly and room was spotless if a little on the small size. Free breakfast was quie good. There is an outdoor pool but it was closed when we visited in October. Bathroom clean but quite small.

Once again, Tripadvisor steered us in the right direction and was quite accurate. Fit our desire as a small, very reasonable, independent, updated 1960's era motel. The owner was very friendly and helpful, the room was as expected, a bit small (especially the bathroom) but not cramped. Equipped with a fridge and microwave. Everything was very clean and very comfortable... More

We stayed at the Palomino on our tript through Utah and Colorado. Because we were traveling with our 2 children cleanliness was an important factor when looking for a hotel. All the other reviews helped al lot. Overall we had a pleasant stay and the owners are very friendly and helpfull. Room and bathroom are a bit small for 2... More

Positives: - Great value - Clean room which was well-equipped - Free wifi - Free breakfast - this was really impressive! Fresh fruit, yoghurt, juices, breads, bagels, cereals, eggs, and you could make your own bagels! - Free parking on-site - Cable tv with many channels - Easy to navigate to (it's on one of the main streets in Grand... We like to stay here each time we're visiting Grand Junction. It is clean, and with plenty of room and furniture in the rooms to put stuff on! There is a fridge and microwave/coffee maker in each room. Breakfast has been expanded the past couple of years; making it tough for other hotels to compare to El Palamino! We'll be... More

1st timer staying here. You don't need a brand name chain. Clean, comfortable room. Wonderful firm beds. Quiet (we had 2-queen room, rm 21, farthest from the road - BTW when people complain about noise, I wonder if they have heard of ear plugs. Simple solution for companions who snore - ask my wife! ;)). Motel - so no one... More

Before selecting the hotel for our stay in Grand Junction (snow in the mountains), we checked both Trip Advisor and Yelp. This hotel got great ratings, so here is where we headed. We had just stayed at two small, basic hotels in Cortez, CO and Moab, UT, so our judgement isn't caused by any prejudice against few fringes. We left... More

I was passing through Grand Junction and stayed here based upon the recommendations - wasn't disappointed. I like the older motels where you can park close to the door and there's no one walking above you. I can only validate the other good reviews. Clean, convenient with everything I could need. My room had a king bed with a sofa,... More

We stayed at the Palomino on the basis of the very good TripAdvisor reports, and we weren't disappointed. Our room was clean and comfortable, the owners friendly and helpful and the breakfast was probably the best we've had in any US motel: fresh bagels, egg and bacon, yoghourt, good coffee, cereal and far more besides. The only minus was the... More

I dont know what the other reviewers were saying about hostess. She was super nice and made great eggs. Only downside was we could only stay 2 nights. On the main drag but near downtown/restaurants, nice. not too much road noise. very nice beds and big tv. will go back
