I keepers were rude and unhappy. They were very nosy watching us from other rooms as we came and went through the and night. They treated us like criminals. I don't know what there problem is but I will never go back.

This review is entirely false. The reservation was made on Booking.com and our no pet policy is clearly posted prior to making a reservation. These customers broke this rule and brought a dog on our property anyway. After we saw the dog, we refunded the second night's payment and asked them to leave. We are a family friendly business and... More

The room was comfortable and clean. The mattresses were very comfortbale (I like firm). The staff was fine- not overly friendly, but not rude either. The rate was very reasonable. The breakfast was not very good. Very few choices, and what was there was old and stale (cheerios, and I took a bit of a pastry that was going bad-... More

So the palomino website states "The El Palomino is a friendly family owned business and operated to the highest standards of hospitality". Here's the story to the contrary... I paid for my room and left to go eat food. I saw a homeless man saying he was hungry on my way back to the motel, so I bought him food... More

Owner very friendly and room was spotless if a little on the small size. Free breakfast was quie good. There is an outdoor pool but it was closed when we visited in October. Bathroom clean but quite small.

Once again, Tripadvisor steered us in the right direction and was quite accurate. Fit our desire as a small, very reasonable, independent, updated 1960's era motel. The owner was very friendly and helpful, the room was as expected, a bit small (especially the bathroom) but not cramped. Equipped with a fridge and microwave. Everything was very clean and very comfortable... More

We stayed at the Palomino on our tript through Utah and Colorado. Because we were traveling with our 2 children cleanliness was an important factor when looking for a hotel. All the other reviews helped al lot. Overall we had a pleasant stay and the owners are very friendly and helpfull. Room and bathroom are a bit small for 2... More

Positives: - Great value - Clean room which was well-equipped - Free wifi - Free breakfast - this was really impressive! Fresh fruit, yoghurt, juices, breads, bagels, cereals, eggs, and you could make your own bagels! - Free parking on-site - Cable tv with many channels - Easy to navigate to (it's on one of the main streets in Grand... We like to stay here each time we're visiting Grand Junction. It is clean, and with plenty of room and furniture in the rooms to put stuff on! There is a fridge and microwave/coffee maker in each room. Breakfast has been expanded the past couple of years; making it tough for other hotels to compare to El Palamino! We'll be... More

1st timer staying here. You don't need a brand name chain. Clean, comfortable room. Wonderful firm beds. Quiet (we had 2-queen room, rm 21, farthest from the road - BTW when people complain about noise, I wonder if they have heard of ear plugs. Simple solution for companions who snore - ask my wife! ;)). Motel - so no one... More

Before selecting the hotel for our stay in Grand Junction (snow in the mountains), we checked both Trip Advisor and Yelp. This hotel got great ratings, so here is where we headed. We had just stayed at two small, basic hotels in Cortez, CO and Moab, UT, so our judgement isn't caused by any prejudice against few fringes. We left... More
