This place is a classic. As noted, super-clean. We arrived pretty late, but the owners were pleasant and helpful. Our room was quiet and towards the back of the horse-shoe-shaped motel. We parked right outside our room.

Clean, bright, and up to date. Extremely clean and more than you would expect. Real owner pride showing at this motel. Outdoor pool and a nice complimentary breakfast. Chatted with the owner who is genuinely interested in their guests. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

When we drove up I was worried that trip advisor gave bad advice, but I wrong. The outside looks like an old rte 66 motel. It is extremely clean inside and out. The bathroom had all new fixtures, bedding was nice, Direct tv on a flat screen. Okay, trip advisor, you were right!

Great price! Such friendly people. Bed was excellent, after 7 nights of traveling, this was the best night's sleep. Don't usually eat the continental breakfasts but their waffles were blueberry so loved them. Have definitely stayed in much higher priced less pleasant hotels this trip. Would definitely stay here again!

We decided to stay after reading the reviews of the motel. The motel was very clean and the price was right. We stayed here for four nights. The bed was very comfortable and the room was adequate for our stay. The one thing that I didn't care for was I put the "do not disturb" sign on the door to... More

As with other reviewers we based our decision to stay here due to the majority of great reviews of this property. It was a pleasant surprise and basically a budget motel as advertised. As others have said the neighborhood is a bit older/rundown and the motel at first blush also appears as an older property (brick sides). The secret here... More

There is just one thing that's good about the El Palamino. The bed is great! Everything else is wanting. How in the world this place got the #1ranking in GJ is hard to believe. The rooms are tiny. There are no towel racks in the bathrooms. No vanity to even put your cosmetic on next to the sink. No luggage... More

This charming little motel is wonderful: immaculately clean, roomy rooms, easy access to restaurants and highway, great pool, and terrific staff. They were very concerned that our family's needs and questions were addressed, and were very warm hosts. Price was right, and I would certainly recommend this to anyone.

We were only able to stay one night, but wished we could have stayed longer. We were made welcome like old friends. The motel is in beautiful condition, with many personal touches in the room. Excellent quality for the price-point, and in a good location. Breakfast was excellent, and had a family atmosphere, presided over by our hostess, the owner.... More

A motor inn in the middle of high desert. You’ll spot the classic vintage sign first. Don’t be put off by the seedy neighborhood and tired landscaping (they’re doing as they should and accommodating to the environment) – this hotel is well attended & scrupulously clean. Moderately priced ($70) – there are cheaper motels in close vicinity but likely not... More
