Drowsy Water is family owned and operated, and they do a fantastic job of making your family week in the Rockies one of the most memorable experiences of a lifetime. Leave your worries behind, turn off your cell phone, and enjoy the breath taking views of the Rocky Mountain Continental Divide from the back of a horse that has been... More

Great family vacation.took adult kids and 8yr old granddaughter . Wranglers picked the perfect horse for me as I have limited physical ability. Kids program and counselors were terrific. If you're into turn down service and chocolate on your pillows, this is not your place. However, if you truly want a great experience with a warm attentive staff, rustic cabins and... More

We had a wonderful time at our recent stay at Drowsy Water. The horses are beautiful, the scenery during our rides was just stunning and the level of service is incomparable. The Foshas and their extended family are very special people. My young daughter got sick our first night there and they went out of their way not only to... More

Great place! We had a wonderful western vacation with horseback riding, hayrides, campfires, breakfast on a mountain top and more. The views of the Rocky Mountains were spectacular. We highly recommend this resort.

Ideal family vacation! DWR appeals to all ages. Views of the Continental Divide while on the trails are added perks! Our tiny daughter delightedly nestled in with the director for tots and by the end of the week rode her little horse with pride. Our teenagers thrilled at gathering with others their age to lope and laugh while exploring the... More

So, my husband and I were looking for a family vacation for us with our daughters and their families. We researched cruises and other family vacations and, in our research, found DWR. The reviews were over the top. We shared all the information with our family and everyone was on board with this idea (even though we are not horsemen/women)... More

We just returned from our week at Drowsy Water Ranch. Our group of 11 spanned ages 5 to 60's. We had an amazing time. My family of four was not sure about horseback riding - none of them had ever really ridden before. They really enjoyed their trail rides and their horses. The Foshas and the other wranglers gave excellent... More

Our family of ten just returned from Drowsy Water Ranch. We were a family with ages 5 - 72. There were activities and fun for all. Not only was there horseback riding with very thorough riding instruction but each night there was a different activity for both adults and children. The Fosha family went above and beyond to make our... More

We just returned from Drowsy Water and we can't wait to go back! We now know why so many people return year after year. The Fosha family and its employees truly allow magic to happen. They treat you like you are their best friend. Their love of their ranch comes shining through. Our children (6,7 and 15) were playing the... More

Wow!!!! It is hard to explain what happens at Drowsy Water Ranch from the Sunday you arrive to the Saturday you leave but as the Fosha's say the first night, a kinda magic happens. We came to the ranch with three teenage girls and to be honest they were a bit skeptical because their idea of vacation was the beach.... More
