I'm a local in the area and this is the hotel I recommend my guests, friends and family stay at when visiting. Be forewarned, this hotel is not in what I'd consider Golden. Stayed at the hotel for a visit to the Colorado School of Mines which is located only a few miles away. After making the reservations on-line, I was initially dismayed to see the hotel's close proximity to I-70 fearing traffic noise would interfere with our sleep. The rooms were very clean and totally quiet with comfortable beds..

Have stayed at this property several times due to its proximity to Mines. Reasonable rates, comfortable rooms, friendly staff. Not a new property; definitely could use an upgrade, but hotel management and staff make the most of what they have to work with.
