Judy and Dennis are great hosts, friendly and full of information on the area. Quaint and tasteful décor, comfortable sleeping, and coffee at 5:30 A.M., thanks to Judy, and an excellent breakfast help to make a pleasant experience. Dennis had breakfast with us one morning and provided interesting and enlightening conversation. If your in the area this is a very... More

I chose this place first for its location (my son is a student at Mines), and I wanted to walk to campus. It also has reasonable prices compared to other venues. I'm used to staying in hotels, and typically avoid B&Bs, so you just have to set your mind to the fact that it will be a different experience. The... More

This was my first and only bed and breakfast experience. The man who owns the hotel is friendly and welcoming. His wife is more reserved but polite. It is a small Victorian bungalow. Quiet, comfortable and within walking distance to downtown. For those of you into this type of option, you should be happy.

My brother in Ga. Had a birthday coming up and I wanted to do something special ( married with a kid, I figured he needed a mancation!). So I got him a flight and two tickets to NIN. Had it all figured out but our stay for the night?! There are no cheap hotels near red rocks that are in... More

Beautiful old home, nice location, gracious hosts. What more could you ask for? How about a million things to do and see within a hour or two of there. And a home cooked full breakfast. We will be back.

We were going to a concert at Red Rocks and we needed a local hotel. This B&B is only 6miles from Red Rocks. Even thought is B&B is in an older house the room had the charm of old, but the bathroom was modern. It was a comfortable room and bed. The location was an easy walk to the center... More

Traveling to Denver for a conference, we decided to stay in Golden a few days beforehand. The Silk Pincushion had vacancy and good reviews here on Trip Advisor and it did not disappoint. We stayed in the carriage house which is separate from the main house above a garage sewing studio which was very private and quiet. The efficiency apartment... More

My wife and I spent 4 nights in the carriage house room, and were very pleased. Judy and Dennis make the perfect hosts. The room was spacious, quiet and the bed comfortable. On the negative side - the air conditioner only marginally worked well enough to keep the bed side of the large room cool during the hot summer day.... More

I stayed for a week in the carriage house while working in nearby Wheat Ridge. Golden is the perfect western gold rush town and the Silk pincushion provides the perfect way to experience it. Judy and Dennis were amazingly welcoming and went out of their way to look after me and I loved hearing their stories and chatting with the... More

The quilts are beautiful. The Victorian furniture is perfect in the victorian house. The porcelain dolls are big. The house is nicely decorated for Christmas. The pretty sleigh bed was comfortable. The breakfast was yummy. The inkeepers are nice. Thank you Rita Bennett and Steve Nordstrom from Westminster Colorado
