We were travelling on the California Zephyr and stayed here for 4 nights. It's about a mile from the Amtrak station but it's on the free (Ride Glenwood Springs) bus route so it's no problem if you have heavy luggage. You pass it on the left hand side and get off at the next stop (Safeways). The room was very... more

A national bicycling group of folks 50+ had their first Annual Bicycle Ride August 29 - Sept 1, 2009, using the Caravan Inn as a base, and riding the great 44 mile Rio G.rande Trail to Aspen, and the Glenwood Canyon Trail. As the motel is across the street from the trail, and close to town, it was a great... more

My room needed a good airing out. The bad was fine and it was clean otherwise. Pluses are that the hot tub and pool are nice amenties and they serve a hot breakfast. Minuses are the room was old and smelly and the hotel is not witihn walking distance of the downtown core. It is OK as a budget choice. more

My husband and I recently spent our honeymoon in Glenwood Springs, and stayed at the Caravan Inn for 5 days. We were so very impressed with everything. From the moment we checked in, the staff was extremely helpful and welcoming - they even left a couple of space heaters in our room to ensure the room was just right, temperature-wise.... more

Maybe just a little worn in places, all in all the Caravan is a well maintained, clean, and reasonably well appointed hotel that's undervalued at ~$75/night. Service was fine, breakfast was fine, location is convenient to downtown. Definitely recommended. more

We had an extra night to kill in GSpgs and time to check out all the places to stay. For $79, the Caravan was much nicer than the Cedar place just down the street, where we stayed the night before. The Caravan has nearly completed their parking lot renovations, the room was very nice, with fridge, the hot tub was... more

For any of you who like to get even 'okay" customer service, DO NOT stay at the Caravan Inn in Glenwood Springs. The air conditioner in our room stank horribly of mold and mildew and the entire staff that got involved refused to help. They could not replace it, they would not clean it, and they gave no other options... more

The front desk woman was unwelcoming and not friendly. We didn't know about ongoing construction, so we had to put up with noise from bulldozers. Many windows were boarded up, presumably for renovations, separate from the ongoing construction. The driveway into the motel was ripped up dirt and rocks. Our first impression was of a condemned building. Although the room... more

We come to Glenwood usually once or twice a year and have noticed a marked increase in the lodging prices near the downtown area. A friend recommended this facility as an alternative to the higher priced hotels & lodges near the Hot Springs pool. We stayed two nights and would probably not stay there again for the following reasons. 1.... more
