Ever had a 3 course breakfast? With an ice cream dessert at 9.00 am? We did, three days in a row. On God-knows-how-expensive china (see picture, I'm not an expert on china). If you arrive in Glenwood Springs by Amtrak from Chicago, as we did, you don't realise you're suddenly above 7000 feet sea level. It takes about a mile... more

Our host was interesting and obviously interested in people. Additionally, he was effective in facilitating interaction between guests. The common areas are furnished with interesting antiques and collectibles from around the world. more

The low pitched roof of this bungalow styled B and B makes walking upright hazardous to anyone over 5'8" while in your guestroom. I spent most of my time hunched over trying to avoid hitting my head on the pitched ceilings. The mirror over the sink in the Aspen Room bathroom was waist high. You could not stand up in... more

We enjoyed our stay at Lavender and Thyme. This was the only B&B in town that would allow young kids to stay (we have a 1 year old). The breakfasts were great! It was a great place to stay with the little one so he could take a nap upstairs and we could be in the living room reading or... more

Came here for my 50th birthday getaway. Service was amazing -- not only did the inn keepers give me a cake on my birthday, but they also gave me a present: a Colorado bed & breakfast cookbook. Food was fabulous and different each day; our room was adorable and very comfortable; and the location is unbeatable -- just a few... more

This B & B is a great jumpimg off point for all that Glenwood Springs has to offer, which is a lot, including restaurants, hiking trails, spas, book stores, etc. Furniture and decorations are very eclectic and still searching for a theme. Shower is very small and nearly impossible for use by anyone taller than 5' 8". Television in the... more

Would have preferred more choice but food and service was excellent. Bed was too firm for our preference however room was comfortable and innkeeper did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. The owner was particularly helpful and generous. more

We celebrated our anniversary weekend in Glenwood Springs and stayed two nights at the Lavender & Thyme. We were in the 'rose' room which was beautifully decorated with antique furniture. The B&B has only 3 rooms which was very nice - it wasn't crowded and we could get to know our fellow guests at breakfast. The 3 course breakfasts were... more
