It all started with a easy exit off the highway and a spectacular view to the entrance of the camp ground. Check in was fast and the staff was so helpful. The cabins were clean, roomy and cute. They also had many different types of accommodations from tents to suites overseeing the river. We stayed in a cabin with everything... More

We have stayed at this resort five years in a row now. We stay in our RV there. Full hookups, 50 amp service, and the best staff we have ever found at any RV resort!! The location of this resort is perfect. It's close to Glenwood Springs, Aspen, and Vail. This resort is a MUST on our yearly month long... More

We wanted to camp near Hanging Lake and Glenwood Springs and found that Glenwood Canyon Resort was 3 miles east of Glenwood Springs and 8 miles west of Hanging Lake. There is a bike trail that runs from Glenwood Springs all the way to Hanging Lake but we were informed that it was closed at Grizzly Creek so we could... More

The river is amazing, it wraps around the whole place. All the activities can start or end at the resort. The management is top notch. The house we were staying in had a water leak. Instead of moving us to another house or trying to fix it a clean it up around us. The manager moved us into the suite... More

You need to weigh the pros and cons on this one... Pros - close to the hot springs (one exit), on the river for small RVs or tents (saw deer across river as well as river otter just below our campsite), on-site rafting company and zipline (could be a con but no crowds in the campground and probably convenient for... This resort is a little more difficult to review, location is great, right along the Colorado River and convenient to town, looks tired and a little worn though. From a resort point of view, it has rafting and zip lining, deluxe and basic cabins as well as RV and tent sites. We stayed in our 26 ft travel trailer at... More

I have stayed here in the dead of winter and the bustle of summer. Staff couldn't be better! Wonderful location with tons to do. River rafting at every level, zip line attraction, cabins and RV spots and even two condos hidden away at the top of the main facility. Every level of comfort available. Great place just to hang out,... More

We spent one night in the sites by the river. It was a pretty setting, however the train goes by across the river multiple times throughout the night (staff warns you of this and even provides free ear plugs). The site was very small and expensive. It is convenient if you do one of their tours.

Recently stayed here June 2014 We tent camp all over the USA and Canada and are experienced campers in the Backcountry as well, so we know what makes up a great campground or camping experience. Between the minimum nites required, expensive tent site rates, dirty bathrooms, hi prices of the bar/ restaurant and zipline. We won't be going back to... More
