First it is important to indicate that Kimberly, a manager, did correct our problem when she returned to the property on our first night. However, it required a call to AAA, because the front desk would not assist with correcting an error and blamed their own reservation system. AAA intervened and the problem was corrected. Thanks to AAA The problem:... More

The service and staff was excellent. The room (432) needs deep cleaning and more shelves in the bathroom. No air conditioning is a huge problem as the room was hot and stuffy. Loved the lounge both inside and outside. The jacuzzi in this room was really nice.

Our family stayed at the Colorado Hotel for Mother’s Day weekend. They staff is so friendly and helpful. I love the décor of the lobby, the courtyard with the beautiful flowers, and the fire pits in the evening. The pipes rattle at night, and the bathrooms need updating, but it is a fantastic historical hotel.

Thank you for your comments and suggestions. We take all of our guests' input seriously in order to improve in all aspects of the hotel. We are sorry that you did not enjoy the coffee in your room. Lavaza is a fine Italian coffee and we typically do not get guest complaints concerning it. Thank you for sharing. More

I love history and any chance I can stay in an older hotel I will do it. My wife and I had a chance to stay at this beautiful, historical hotel and our expectations were exceeded! We arrived a bit late, at about 9:30pm and the third party reservation company really messed up our reservation. In fact, the Hotel said... More

Though this hotel is not the finest in terms of price and amenities, all similar hotels I have ever stayed in in Colorado provide a complimentary coffee bar for guests -- normally one on each floor, kept well stocked until at least 10 a.m. To have to stand in a long line at 7 a.m. (one poor gal working) and... We had the rare chance for a weekend away from the kids. We were originally only staying Saturday night, but we were able to go early. I called at 4 Friday afternoon and was able to get the room for the extra night AND they matched the discounted rate I got when I booked online! The room was big, king... More

Allison S, We are pleased that you enjoyed our staff, courtyard and rich history. Do to the historical nature of our hotel; the Hotel Colorado is truly one of a kind. However, every day the hotel becomes slightly more with the times. This will continue to occur without ever losing any of our rich history. Thank you very much for... More

Hotel Colorado is a must for the Christmas season, with decorations galore! Combined with Glenwood Hot Springs which is a short walk away, this is a vacation spot to remember! Hotel Colorado is a favorite of mine now. This hotel was built in the 1890's and has a rich history of presidential visits, namely Teddy Roosevelt and William Taft. Take... More

Whenever we go to Glenwood Springs we stay at the Hotel Colorado. It is a short walk down to the hot springs pool and downtown. Very historic and comfortable. The furnishings in the room are very worn in some rooms but that would be our only complaint. The staff has always been friendly.
