We stayed at the hotel colorado for a birthday weekend. We wanted something unique and with a bit of character and decided to give it a go. Location is awesome, you are a short walk across the pedestrian bridge to downtown Glenwood and steps away from the hot springs pool. The train station too. The hotel exterior is beautiful and... This place costs more than most lodging in Glenwood Springs, and for the rich history and to learn about the old spirits that still wander around the place, I thought it would be worth it. It was not. I could have visited the hotel, like a museum, and not gone through a night of discomfort and creaky floors. The bed... More

Love the history, the gorgeous lobby, its proximity to the pool and the fabulous food at Baron's restaurant. Every time we eat there we say let's not waste our time having dinner any other place and then we do and regret it. This visit the elevator was not working but it was only one flight of stairs to our room... More

PROS -Historical property (over 100 years old) with lots of wonderful décor and ambience -Directly across from Glenwood Springs hot springs pools and spa (which we used every evening) -Wifi worked well (at least in the second floor east wing area where we stayed) -Plenty of dining options within walking distance on both sides of the river -Hotel also has... I love history so the history of this hotel is amazing!!! The location is also excellent within walking distance to many restaurants and right across the street from the hot springs. The common spaces in the hotel are great but the rooms are below average (keep in mind the historical nature of the hotel). No AC, pipes ran on the... More

I wrote a review for the Hotel Colorado a few years ago, but after visiting several more times, I feel that it deserves another glowing review. I cannot say enough good things about this place!!! The hotel, itself, is beautiful and interesting, the beds are comfy, and the location cannot be beat. But, I must also commend the hotel for... More

It's always interesting when you stay in old hotels. Lots of history, especially the pictures and articles on Teddy Roosevelt on the various floors. The period antiques are interesting, but most are in fair shape. The location is good and you can walk to old town in 10 minutes. This place offers character and is worth the stay as an... More

My family stayed at the Hotel Colorado for 1 night to house 5 people in a property conveniently location near the Hot Springs pool. We reserved a type of "suite" which are 2 rooms joined with a jack/jill bathroom (a little surprising until you realize the hotel is really old, and I expect these bathrooms had to be added sometime... Dear Guest, Thank you for staying with us. We are glad that you enjoyed the location and the rich history of the hotel. I will definitely have our maintenance staff take care of the issues you mentioned right away. Historic does not mean that your favorite team should be in the wrong colors. More

I love old buildings, and since this is a hotel we get to live in it for a few days, and imagine the past. We booked a king room,#350, has wonderful sunlight in the afternoon. Comfy bed, tiny bathroom, and a bit noisy because of the intersection, but I am happy to trade the noise, bring earplugs, for the pleasant... More

We stayed for Thanksgiving and to enjoy the firework display in the courtyard, it was a lovely hotel with the ultimate experience. I love that the hotsprings are across the street. The dining experience was very enjoyable we will definitely have to do it again!
