My family and I stayed one night at the Hotel Colorado. Of course we had heard ghost stories but found this hotel to be warm and inviting!! Starting with the beautiful grounds, stunning entry way and great customer service from Jesse. Yes, this hotel is old and not for people who like their modern hotel chains. My family completely enjoyed... More

My family stayed at the Hotel Colorado for two nights in July. We loved it. A beautiful hotel that is steeped in history. The location is right across from the hot springs pool and is a 5 minute walk across the walking bridge to the restaurant district. The courtyard is great for lunch, dinner, or evening drinks. The hotel is... More

This historic hotel was the perfect ending for a weekend in the mountains for my family. Friendly staff greeted us when we made our reservations via telephone and when we checked in at the desk. Our girls appreciated receiving a stuffed bear when we checked in. Our room was clean and the cable had channels with programming suitable for my... More

We had exceptional service at Hotel Colorado and can't wait to come back again. We had direct access to the outdoor courtyard from our room, which was so nice ending the evening walking right outside with a cocktail and starting our morning with a coffee on the patio. The front desk agent, Kimberly, was positively recognized during our visit. We... More

If you enjoy history and not looking for modern amenities this is a great and reasonable place to stay. Ask for a room that has a window with good ventilation (no corner room) as there is no AC. However nights even on hot summer days cool down comfortably. Our room and bathroom were neat and clean, were given extra towels... More

We decided to walk through Hotel Colorado late one evening after reading "Haunted Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs" on the Internet. The 3rd and 5th floor apparently have the most activity and some of the rooms are so haunted they had to lock the rooms up and they cannot be rented. We didn't hear or see any activity but regardless... More

It must be the location and overall historical coolness of the courtyard and the lobby. We've been coming here for 20 years. This years room was shabby, the towels shredded, no coffee pot or hair dryer. So glad I brought my own. Will I return? Maybe.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your honest input. We have all new linens in the Hotel and you definitely should not have had a towel that was shredded. I will speak with the Housekeeping department and make sure that damaged towels are discarded. More

This hotel is amazing. As a historic hotel, they provided a nice stay. The hotel was clean, staff was kind and food was great. We've been there before and will go back again. We stayed in the King Parlor and it was beautiful.

We were expecting a nice stay at the Hotel Colorado. Unfortunately, this is not the place to stay in the summer. The main level was hot and musty smelling upon check in. We were given a room on the fourth floor (the top floor, excluding the "pent house"). While I didn't have a thermometer, I can say that the fourth... More

Dear Guest, I apologize that you did not enjoy your stay. As a historic hotel without A/C we understand that there are some summer nights that can be very hot. Normally the evenings cool off in the mountain climate but we have had some very hot weeks on the Western slopes of Colorado. More

Really enjoyed our stay. Great service and a terrific dinner on the patio. A wonderful, historic place. But please stay away if you demand the sameness of chain hotels. The lack of air conditioning here was a non issue for us...an open window and stout overhead fan kept us quite comfortable.
