This was a splurge for me and it was great fun to be in such a historic hotel and near the Hot Springs Pool. Holiday lighting was lovely. The staff was very welcoming to my dog. All I need from a hotel is a good bed and quiet so my requirements were well met. Wish I had time to hang... More

My wife and I stayed here the night of our wedding and were in awe of the historic ambiance. The lobby alone is worth a visit. The hallways are somewhat reminiscent of the shining and there are rumors of the hotel being haunted, however this is not something that should deter you from staying here. We had a fantastic suite... More

We stayed here with our 2 kids before Christmas and it was just lovely. The decorations out front and the lobby were magical. Yes, parts of the hotel are dated, but we got a great rate, and the proximity to the pool can't be beat. We would definitely stay here again.

The lobby and courtyard were decorated for Christmas. Very impressive. The furniture and fireplaces in the lobby invite you to just sit and read or visit. Our room wasn't as inviting. The mattresses were much too soft, the sink in the bathroom was cracked and both faucets seemed to give warm water. Also, we had to use the fan to... More

I stayed with my sister at this hotel in July 2014. We had a wonderful time. The hotel front desk, bar, coffee shop and restaurant staff were all extremely accommodating. The outdoor bar was relaxing. It was a great place to unwind and enjoy the courtyard. The hotel is over 100 years old and does not have air conditioning but... More

We found the Hotel Colorado because we were looking for an affordable room. Well, we got what we paid for. The hotel definitely has a historical charm. The lobby is beautiful. The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean, but outdated which is part of the hotel's claim to fame for it's history. We made the mistake of reading the... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for staying with us. There is a lot of history in the Hotel which by some is perceived as "spooky". Even though we try not to promote that aspect of the Hotel like the Stanley every guest will have there own personal experience. More

This hotel is historic...yea nothings changed in 100 years. First it was July and there is no air conditioning. There are open glass windows above the door and you can hear everything. There was a dirty room service plate in front of the door next to ours. We saw it sitting there for 24 hours in the heat. This is... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your responds. There is definitely no excuse for having a room service tray in the hallway for that amount of time and I will definitely address that with the Food and Beverage department. We are a historic hotel without air conditioning. This is normally not an issue in the cooler Colorado nights but we are... More

We stayed the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving and were pleasantly surprised by all the festive activities at the hotel. They had live music and performances in the courtyard all afternoon on Friday. Later in the evening they lit the courtyard Christmas lights and had fireworks. It was a festive atmosphere that put us in the Christmas spirit. The courtyard... More

Although other reviews state that this hotel is antiquated, this grand hotel (and there are obvious highlights throughout the hotel that depict this), holds a special place in history. Numerous photos on the walls give brief descriptions. The rooms are small and bathrooms limited but if you enjoy being in a place that has hosted many historical figures and events... More

Made the mistake of staying day after Thanksgiving. Santa was there and everyone in town was in the lobby. Could barely get through to our room. Non guests were running through halls where guest rooms were. This was our first time in Glenwood Springs. This is also our last time.

Dear Guest, The day after Thanksgiving is our Christmas lighting ceremony and is one of the biggest events in Glenwood Springs attracting thousands of people. I am truly sorry that you did not enjoy this event. More
