Stayed here many times, for the historic flavor and location, and is overall a good choice. But even since my last review (6 months ago), and management responded, some things still the same. The good: very comfy beds/linens. Nice front desk staff. Complimentary shuttle very handy for train and downtown. Ask for towels for the hot springs pool, they are... More

I always stay here when I go to Glenwood. It's easy to walk to hot springs pool. The dinner was great. The room was clean, historic, and quaint. I didn't have any encounters with ghosts but would have liked to. The gift shop also sells the "Original Teddy Bear" designed by the hotel staff years ago to honor their guest,... More

This was our first time at the Hotel Colorado and we were not disappointed. Although not a 5 ***** establishment, it fairly reeks of Colorado history. The rooms are not fancy, but functional (read rustic), but just what we expected of an updated old hotel. They have tried to maintain the ambiance of the late 19th and early 20th centuries... More

We have stayed many times at the Hotel Colorado and always come away feeling that we were a part of Colorado History. We choose an ambassador suite for our recent stay. The decor had many antiques and was very clean with a comfortable bed and plenty of room in the bedroom. The room consisted of a bedroom a small bath... More

The grand old Hotel Colorado simply oozes charm with its unique rooms and its block-long lobby/atrium. Yes, the rooms are a bit dated, and while clean, an occasional deep-cleaning would be in order. Still, the hotel beats out all the nearby competition with its historical integrity, fair pricing, location and friendly staff. Plus it's dog friendly and my middle-aged Newfoundland... More

Amazing history, large and comfortable rooms, a committed staff, and right next to the pool. If you value history and the romance of the west, this is the place to stay. She shows her age in places but I love that I can afford to bring my family here regularly (with dog in tow!), and that they have jr suites... More

A lovely OLD hotel. Full of the charms of yesteryear. We stayed in one of the rooms with a large whirlpool tub which was wonderful. No air conditioning on the fourth floor was a little warm in August but fans made it bearable. Our main complaint was the one free electric outlet was in the bathroom and only worked while... More

Dear Guest, It is great to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the Hotel Colorado. You are correct that in these slower times electronic gadgets where not the main priority but I will have engineering take a look at the outlets in that particular room. More

My girlfriend and I stayed here in November of 2013, and had a great time. The hotel is very old and has some very neat historical aspects to it, and it is also right next to the hot springs. This hotel was built at a different time, and myself being 6'3" and 220 pounds found it to be on the... More

The lobby is beautiful, as are the wide, boulevard-like hallways. The rooms are nice enough for an old property that has clearly been renovated many times, but the mattress felt old and saggy and we didn't sleep terribly well. Also, the hotel is about a block away from interstate 70 (no fault of its own, the hotel was there first)... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for staying with us. I am happy that you enjoyed your stay. The hotel purchased all new bedding in the past 2 years therefor the beds should not be sagging. I will have the engineering department check that particular bed to correct the situation. More

We have stayed at the Hotel Colorado each summer for over 40 years and know the property quite well. It is charming both inside and outside. The pictures and the stories which adorn the walls of each floor and the lobby provide a unique insight into our country in the early part of the 20th century. It is a living... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for staying with us and enjoying the history of the Hotel. We are aware that some of the bathrooms have a different layout than what we have come accustomed to in the last decade. This part of the room was not the priority 121 years ago. More
