My son (9) and I decided to stay here on a friend's recommendation for our mini vacation. The hotel is nice and clean but twice now we've had to leave our room due to dogs barking in adjacent rooms:( I really wanted to sleep in this morning but at 6:30am the barking started. This is after trying to ignore it... More

The Hotel Colorado was built in 1863 and sits adjacent to the famous Glenwood Springs hot springs pool. My wife and I have stayed there many times over the years- first taking our children there over 20 years ago. The good: great staff- friendly and responsive. Great location- easy walk to the hot springs and downtown restaurants. Amazing history- photos... More

Spent last weekend in Glenwood Springs and loved this hotel. Charming, comfortable and friendly staff. The lobby is a neat place to sit after dinner and have a cocktail by one of the fireplaces. The outside fire pits were packed, but we will definitely try and sit outside next time!

Stay here if you want an experience. My oldest (teen) loved it for the creepy ghost experience. I loved the lobby and history of the hotel. I wouldn't stay more than one night because its really noisy. Remember its an old hotel. Hard place to have small kids because they are loud, hard to keep toddlers from making noise and... More

Stayed for two nights while skiing Aspen Mtn and Sunlight. Great location, near hot springs. Easy walk to town for dinner. Dined in pub and food was average, good choices, good service and reasonable prices. Room was clean and quiet. Hotel has a lot of history with stays by Teddy Roosevelt and Al Capone. Recommended for any stay in Glenwood... More

My wife was a bit hesitant after reading the less than flattering reviews, but upon seeing our single, king room, we were delighted. This is a great historic hotel, if you want new and fancy go elsewhere. This place has charm and character. Don't let the other review sway you, this is a great and convenient place to stay and... We arrived yesterday as our daughter is at grandma's and we have some time to ourselves. Upon arrival, we were informed that the boiler was beoken and there is NO estimate of when it may be fixed. Needless to say, our room was FREEZING at midnight. Room service was a joke, they either can't be reached or they arrive with... More

Dear Guest, We are truly sorry for your less than satisfactory stay. Unfortunately we had a major problem with our steam heat boiler and had to replace it. We are in the process now and expect it to be operational by Friday March 20. Fortunately the temperatures have not been very cold and we provided space heaters to the rooms... More

My parents, family and children have stayed at Hotel Colorado many times over the past 25 years and have always had great stays in all four seasons. Last spring, I thought we might try the newest hotel in town for our spring break ski trip, and I have to say that the other hotel was disappointing for us. We missed... More

We have stayed at this grand historic hotel a number of times and are never disappointed. We feel like we are welcomed by an old friend when we step through the front door. Filled with history, photos and charm and complimented by a very friendly and capable staff this hotel is most enjoyable. Winter evenings are warm and cozy with... More

From a historical perspective, this is an interesting hotel to visit. Called the "White House of the West," President Teddy Roosevelt spent a lot of time here, along with famous Old West characters and mobsters. The halls are filled with old photographs so it's easy to envision what it must have been like back in those days. We did tour... More
