I booked a room at the Hotel Colorado two days before my husband and I wanted to go. The price we ended up paying was hardly any more expensive than what we would have paid at a motel down the street, which surprised me. The hotel is gorgeous...Don't listen to any reviews talking about how it needs to be updated... More

It's not perfect, it's not modern - isn't that the point? After all the negative reviews, we were hesitant to try Hotel Colorado for our 41st anniversary, but we like old hotels and this one has a lot going for it - location, adjacent to the hot springs pools, miniature golf, and vapor caves, and across a delightful pedestrian bridge... Old, ragged, noisy. Furniture is actually original, 100 years old, or seems like it. No a/c, so windows open only on a very noisy, busy street! Good luck trying to sleep!! Curtains were falling down, balcony door wouldn't close all the way, much less lock. No safe for your valuables. Bathroom has no space to spread your things out, much... More

My partner and I stayed at the Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs, Colorado for it's historical beauty & of course, the hot springs and vapor caves. What a breath of fresh air and delight was it for me to interface with Art, the Front Desk Supervisor. Art has "refreshed", my take on what "excellent", customer service is. I, too am... More

I had a business trip in April in Glenwood Springs and stayed at the Hotel Colorado for three days. It is one of the grand old ladies of Glenwood. Everywhere are reminders of Teddy Roosevelt's stay here. The facility is beautiful, especially the lobby area. The business rooms were large, comfortable, and convenient. The hotel provided us with breakfast each... More

Staying in this hotel is like a journey back in time. The restored hotel is a wonderful treat to the senses from the beautiful architecture, the restored lobby with lovely music playing all day long, the huge fireplaces, the gardens out front, and the quaint old-fashioned rooms. As I walked down the main stair way, I thought of all the... More

I turned 21 at the Hotel Colorado and wanted to bring important women from throughout my life together for a spa weekend experience for my 50th birthday. There were 10 of us from around the country and from the beginning of the trip to the final goodbyes, the staff of the Hotel Colorado catered to our needs and treated us... More

This is a really neat place with great history in an awesome setting. The outside bar in the summer is one of the nicest places to relax. Still, the rooms are run down, the fixtures old, the carpet and linens are threadbare, and when I've stayed there in the summer, there has been no air conditioning in my room. Easy... More

Hotel Colorado is a step back in time with modern mattresses! I stay at Hotel Colorado 3 or 4 times a year and have always had a great time there The public areas and the rooms look much as they might have when the hotel was built in the early 1900's.The decor is elegant and historic with many exhibits about... Upon arriving in Glenwood Springs on the train we called the hotel to see if they had a shuttle that could pick us up, and they did. The young gentleman, Scott, who picked us up was there within 5 mnutes of our call. He was extremely friendly and courteous! Once at the hotel we met Carol at the front desk.... More
