In the heart of Glenwood Springs, walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and the hot springs pool. Lots of history simmers in the walls, antiques abound and at Christmas, the hotel looks like a fairy palace. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Hotel Colorado was everything they claimed. A nicely restored historic hotel that retains it's charm. Room was spacious, we had a corner room. Very quiet and good beds. Hotel staff was very helpful and attentive. Some details need a little attention, but the price was right and we enjoyed our stay. I thought it nice that many of the older... More

First time this hotel, not our first stay in a vintage classic hotel. The place encourages a leisurely pace - taking a vacation from the 21st century starts at the door. Exactly what we were looking for. Staff is outstanding - no, REALLY outstanding: friendly, accommodating, helpful, informative. In-house bar and restaurant are very good and very consistent - we... Each time we've visited Glenwood Springs, we have stayed at the Hotel Colorado. The history and beautiful architecture by themselves make each visit worthwhile, but the friendly staff make us feel at home every time we stay. While the accommodations may not be as modern as some of the other hotels in town, we feel that this just adds to... More

This is a very classic hotel, built in the old style with a fireplace in the lobby, grand columns, woodwork, a huge staircase, the whole bit. The rooms are a bit smaller than we think of these days but they're comfortable. The bathrooms, however, are dated, especially the toilet and sink -- but if you're looking for the 100-year-old-hotel experience... More

Remember the movie , "The Shinning"? Well get out your big wheel and start riding around the empty stark hallways. Thought I'd try out an old historic hotel. And that's just what you get, an old hotel. Come on owner's, you could make this place awesome in stead of just a convince to the hot springs pool.

My niece was married at the Hotel Colorado this weekend and we had guests come in from all over the country. It was one of the best weddings that I've ever attended and the staff was very accomodating.

This is a neat place, don't get me wrong, parking is not good, there was no bellman to help with the luggage, lady at front was really nice! This is very old and historic place and that is the reason for the smaller rooms , the court yard was cool and the proximity to the hot springs was nice, overall... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comments. Hotels from this era where build with a wide variety of room sizes and types and our rooms range from small to extremely large suites. May we suggest a different room type maybe next time to better fit your needs. More

The best thing about the place is it is close to the hot springs pool. The rooms are large, but the carpeting, tile, paint all look tired. The bed was very comfortable, and everything was clean. It was just difficult to get past the tired look of everything.

I am currently sitting in my balcony suite at the Hotel Colorado. Understand this is a 100 plus year old hotel, things such as A/C etc are not expected. What is expected is, clean carpet without stains. There are stains on the carpet, all over. Windows, the window I am sitting under currently only has a storm window in it,... More
