My fiancé and I decided we had never spent much time in Glenwood and booked Hotel Colorado for its historical charm. The hotel is still decorated as if Teddy Roosevelt was on his way back from his hunting trip. Most things were out dated and little run down but we didn't mind. We had fun wandering the halls but we... More

After seeing how several other old historic towns in Colorado have adopted to the modern world, it is really sad to see how Glenwood Springs has been cut apart. It almost seems like someone intentionally set out to cut up the town with interstates and roads to make it as ugly and segmented as possible. If the interstate had been... More

No AC. No fan in the bedroom. End of summer and the room was hot! It was clean, but that's the only good thing I can say about it. It was built in 1893, and the only thing that's changed is exposed conduit for the electrical outlets. Really small bathrooms. There wasn't a wet bar in the deluxe suite -... More

Stayed on 4th floor and dined on the outdoor front patio. Rooms are small but you have to remember...everything was smaller when this hotel was built. Our room was on 4th floor, it was clean and had a comfortable bed. There is no air-conditioning but we were comfortable in mid-August with only a fan in the window. The courtyard is... More

Love the history of the hotel. Picked it for the easy walk to the pool. We had a lovely room that looked out onto the courtyard. The room was large, comfy beds and pillows. There was a small area that may have been a dressing room in yester years, this had a small table that looked out a large window.... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. We are pleased that you were able to enjoy the history of the Hotel and your room. The Courtyard is one of our guests favorite. People enjoy the fire pits to do some relaxing or use the outdoor dining and bar area a lot in the evening. The Colorado evening climate cannot be... More

Loved the rooms, modern, clean, good size, with fireplace. The fabrics and materials used in the room very well done. I had a snack at bar and it was very average, I suggest to go explore the town for food. Easy to access hiking trails for summer hikes.

Not just the AC, this was also awkward in other ways, step in bathroom doorway was a killer, and I have gotten to where I expect to have coffee in the room. Veranda was nice and staff was helpful, but numerous rooms were sweltering hot till 2 or 3 AM.

Dear Guest, Thank you to take time out of your busy schedule to write us a review. I am sorry that your room was hot. We have had some unusually hot days in the Glenwood area. Normally the cool arid mountain air will cool things off during the night with the assistance of the fan. More

My kids and I needed a place to stay in Glenwood Springs and found the Hotel Colorado to be an excellent choice. With a great location just blocks from the Amtrak station and within a few feet of the hot springs, this hotel has the charm and ambiance you would expect of a hotel straight out of the Gold Rush...
