In 2013, my 3rd stay at The Hotel Colorado, and I love staying here. In fact, I am set to return on September 20, 2014 for more 2 nights. I will post my pictures following that weekend; I've booked a Premier Parlor King Suite for that. So excited!!! I've seen reviews from people who are expecting a brand new hotel... More

We have stayed in Glenwood many times and after driving by this hotel we finally stayed here overnight. The inside lobby is beautiful, there is so much history here at every turn. Take the time to walk around the entire hotel and find all the hidden gems and architecture. I read stories that Hotel is haunted but we did not... More

We finally booked a room after driving by it on I-70 countless times. What a grand hotel! The lobby is reminiscent of the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island and is full of photographs of famous guests. Our room on the fourth floor (two bedrooms with a bathroom in between) was comfortable enough, but some of the furniture was in dire... More

I first came to the Hotel Colorado as a kid, old enough to be allowed to just wander unsupervised around the hotel and pool area. I loved it, a gigantic antique castle full of interesting exploration opportunities and friendly staff. When my kids were old enough, I brought them too, and they loved it just as much. Same chance to... More

We had stayed at this grand old hotel several times over the years; so we chose it as the place for our family reunion this summer -- and it worked out great. Our entire family arrived via the Amtrak train and we were met by the hotel's van and shuttle driver, even though the hotel is located only a few... More

We stayed two nights at the Hotel Colorado- overall our stay was great. The hot springs are right down the street, an easy walk from the Hotel Colorado's great location. The room we stayed in was a two bedroom with a balcony over looking the court yard. The layout of this room was okay, but they could have spent more... More

Dear Guest, We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay at the historic hotel Colorado. Due to it's downtown location and the layout of the hotel the east side of the hotel is more quiet than the west side. The State of Colorado actually has plans to rebuild the bridge across the Highway which will ease the traffic on the... More

Unfortunately, this hotel is located parallel to three noise-producing elements in Glenwood Springs--Interstate 70, the railroad with trains passing through in the night, and the Glenwood Hot Springs pool with its human shrieks and shouts. Our room lacked air conditioning so an open window was essential on a warm early Fall night.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback on your stay. Due to our downtown location we understand that there is some noise on the summer nights when the windows are open. We suggest that you might request a room on the back side of the hotel next time. More

Old world charm with the comforts of the new world. We stayed in room 551 - a suite. The room was clean and huge. Air conditioner in the parlour area - but not in the bedroom where the open windows provided a great sleeping environment. The halls are adorned with so much history and fun facts and pictures.

Five of us ladies stayed in the Devareux suite, and it was a perfect extended weekend. The hotel is charming and beautiful, and this suite in particular is beautifully appointed. Very roomy and comfortable. The hotel tour is a must for learning about the history of the hotel.

Dear Guest, Thank you for staying with us and enjoying one of our premier suites. One of the great assets of the hotel is that we have a large percentage of period themed suites. Please come back soon. More

Lovely stay at the Hotel Colorado! Full of history, charm, comfortable bed, wonderful breakfast, cozy bar, and an easy walk to the hot springs. Dog friendly too!! If you get a chance to be there through the holidays, the Christmas lights are fantastic, and the hotel is full of romance!

Dear Deborah, Thank you for your kind words. We are so pleased that you had a wonderful romantic getaway. As you mentioned Christmas time is especially great around here. We were recently voted in the top 10 best decorated Christmas hotels in the nation. On top of the many displays we light up the hotel with approximately 350 thousand lights. More
