First let me say that Loveland is not a resort. There are no flashy shops, coffee bars or hotels, but that is what makes it the perfect place to ski. Loveland was a very poor experience overall. The employees were rude, and unhelpful, nobody seemed to care. Trails were poorly marked, and cover was thin and rocky compared to nearby Copper Mountain where the coverage was superb. It does cost less for a lift ticket than other bigger resorts, but it is well worth it to drive right on by... more

Just about the best value in Colorado skiing. Lift tickets are about half the price of the bigger resorts further west on I-70. The variety of terrain is terrific; if you want to get crazy on a double-black diamond, anything off lift 9 should keep you busy. people were rude--some lifts were closed but they didn't tell us until we rented everything and were ready to ski--customer service was unhelpful to out of town guests--not a great experience at all. more
