I have the Colorado ski pass, but wanted to try a different ski area. Every time I pass Loveland on I-70, I think, "why would anyone build a ski resort on the Continental Divide?" The pass always seems to be covered in a cloud. It just looks cold. I went anyway last weekend. It's really close to Denver, the lift... more

First let me say that Loveland is not a resort. There are no flashy shops, coffee bars or hotels, but that is what makes it the perfect place to ski. The variety of terrain is fabulous and the view from the top of chair 9 over ththe continental divide is spectacular. There is plenty of terrain for beginners and many... more

The variety of terrain is terrific; if you want to get crazy on a double-black diamond, anything off lift 9 should keep you busy. One of the longest seasons in the state; they don't close this year... more

people were rude--some lifts were closed but they didn't tell us until we rented everything and were ready to ski--customer service was unhelpful to out of town guests--not a great experience at all. more

Obviously Colorado is home to some of the best ski resorts in the world. Loveland, may be one of Colorado's best kept secrets. It certainly isn't a true resort, but that's part of the reason it's great. There are no condos on the property, no Ben&Jerry's in the lodge, no Starbucks beside the parking lot, and no promotional megaphones at... more
