My husband and I stayed at the Horstmann House for one weekend night in February while on a skiing trip, and WOW - what a great find!! I was pleasantly surprised that they had rooms available over a weekend during ski season, as I called only a few days before we arrived in town. The hosts, George and Rita, are... More

We truly try to make our B&B a friendly oriented experience for our guests. We have lived here for 30 years and the home has been in our family for over 100 years. There is a great history in Georgetown and the community works diligently to keep that history alive with many museums and programs to inform visitors about our... More

Our first visit to Georgetown and the Horstmann House. What a find and what a treat to stay at this wonderfully appointed and historic home. George was a wonderful host and we had a great time visiting with him about the history and his amazing knowledge of the local area as well as Colorado. He is a native of the... More

This was our first stay at a B&B, and the Horstmann House set the bar extremely high. It was far beyond our expectations. The house is great: quiet, clean-clean, and beautifully decorated. It is clear that George loves being a host and wants his guest to enjoy every aspect of their stay. He and Rita were constantly monitoring the flooding... More

Staying at the Horstmann House was a real treat. The outside colors of the home were vintage with flowers and plants landscaped to perfection. George and Rita were welcoming no matter what the need. Their hospitality was genuine and just pleasant. The house and rooms were very up to date, comfortable, clean, and stylish. Snacks were provided, as well as... More

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful weekend away in gorgeous Georgetown. George and Rita are so sweet, and the breakfasts were outstanding. Of particular note were the homemade iced cinnamon buns - a perfect recipe for a delirious food coma. The room was luxurious and the food unforgettable. Can't wait to come back!

We went away for our anniversary. What a great place. Warm and so comfortable. Our room was immaculate. George doesn't skimp on breakfast. There was tons and we were so full and content. I'm a history nut, and George is a third generation in Georgetown. It was great learning so many stories from his growing up in the small mining... More

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at The Horstmann House for a weekend of de-stressing and relaxation. The house is centrally located in quaint downtown Georgetown and it is a quick walk to anywhere you might like to go. Our room was inviting, impeccably clean, and had a beautiful view (Tower Room). Rita and George are a... More

A lovely, quiet B&B hosted by a remarkable couple, George and Rita. They were so warm and welcoming - and especially helpful and caring when my husband became ill while there. Off the busy main street, but you can walk everywhere. I hope we can return one day. Margaret B
