Please - ask to see your room first. If we had, we would have gone down the road. I understand it is an older hotel and the owners are working on improvements. But please, wipe down the inside and outside of the doors. I was scared to touch it. Remove the dead bugs from the window sill. Screen on the... More

Hi Julie, Sorry you are not a happy camper. In fairness, guests should always give the hotelier - or any business owner or manager - the chance to make amends as we are all human. Our staff is human and it has been a very, busy summer - seven days per week. In our case, we would have been happy... More

The people who run this place are so kind and accommodating. Example: Knowing we were getting up before the sun to do a hike, the owner brought coffee to our room the night before so we could be sure to have some caffeine! The coffeepot ended up not working, but his consideration for us still blew us away. The rooms... More

Thank you! I am testing our coffee makers to find the broken one. :) I have thought about it and decided to keep coffee makers available upon request. Too much glass breakage and spillage to worry about. But we are absolutely happy to supply the handful we do have to our guests upon request. And we have coffee, muffins and... More

This is a beautiful setting, in the mountain pass, for a hotel. The room was good and comfortable on the second floor. Even though it is right off the highway, we did not hear any road noise. Unfortunately, there was no tv remote. When I called and asked about it, the manager said he would find one and bring it... More

Our family stayed here in June as part of a three week road trip. This was the only lodging that still had a tube TV (in which the cable did not work upon check-in). We were not expecting much, based on the on-line pictures, but the whole facility needs remodeling. The pool deck and tile are in disrepair, the tub... More

Thank you for the review. As you could tell from my replies to previous posts, we have been updating as fast as revenues, man hours, weather, sub-contractors, and seasonal business allow. And, in a first things first order as far as guest comfort goes. New boiler system 2 to 3 years ago, "Real" AC units in our king rooms last... More

We love Georgetown mountain inn, their rooms are always clean and cozy, pool is warm, great location. The staff always goes above and beyond to make me my husband and our four little children feel comfortable and welcomed! We stay there at least once every couple of months just to get away from the crazy city life if Denver. I... More

First of all, this is a regular motel, so I don't know why it's listed under inns and bed and breakfasts instead of just motels. Having said that, we really liked the place. The location of this place is great. It is right on Clear Creek and very close to downtown Georgetown and the Georgetown Loop Railroad but far enough... More

Thank you for staying and for the review. I know and appreciate the extra time you used. New this year - just now finished - is padded carpet in all rooms. We have also added insulation to the walls between most rooms. It has made it much nicer and quieter. If another guest is noisy after our 10 PM quiet... More

We stayed at Georgetown Mountain Inn for 5 nights on our first visit to CO. We were skiing Loveland and making visits to Ft. Collins area and up to WY. The location was perfect for our trip, right off I-70, but away from any traffic noise. The rooms could use some updating, which they are working on slowly. The 3... More

The people running this place are friendly, relaxed an welcoming. The location is great - convenient to I-70 yet tucked away from the noise and chaos. This hotel just needs a little TLC to the structure and rooms and it would be a great little mountain hideaway, perfect for ski weekends in the winter and hiking trips in the summer.... More

Actually, given the room configurations hotel policies, we aim to be family friendly. We have an indoor heated pool and outdoor hot tub and both are open year round. A rare feature for any hotel at our pricing from Idaho Springs to Dillon, Silverthorne, and Frisco. Kiddows love it. We have about 5-6 weeks in the Fall and again in... More

My 6-year-old and I had a great stay at the Georgetown Mountain Inn in-between lessons at Loveland Ski Area (which is between about 15 minutes and 45 minutes away depending upon traffic). We were pleasantly surprised to find that our room had a large dorm frig and a microwave - key for budget breakfasts, snacks and reheating the awesome pizza... More
