My husband and I took a week-long trip to Colorado. We stayed two nights at the Georgetown Mountain Inn. We found this place via Trip Advisor and decided to book due to the great reviews. We were not disappointed! We ended up staying one extra night because a nearby campsite was closed for the season. Pete at the front desk... More

This hotel is the embodiment of Colorado. You could put this hotel in the desert and you'd still think you were in Colorado while inside this charming lodge. It's not new, or fancy... and neither is Colorado. It's rustic, real and friendly. Dan the Mountain Inn man at the desk is also one of the reason we keep going back... More

We've stayed here several times over the last few years and always plan to return. There are restaurants nearby and also within walking distance to historic downtown Georgetown, a walk that goes through the historic Georgetown residential area. The rooms are decorated with rustic furniture and are well-maintained. The staff is helpful, friendly, and welcoming. We'll return the next time... More

This was our 13th year (sometimes multiple visits per year) at the Mountain Inn and once again we were very pleased. Each year, we find that the operators are continuing to make improvements and upgrades. It is an older property, but the owners have managed to improve the facility while maintaining its original charm. I highly recommend the log rooms... More

Most hotel rooms that are "handicapped accessable" are so small you can't move around in your chair. Not this place. I could easily get around. The bathroom had bars by toilet and tub, made it easy for me to get up and to stay stable. I am also I diabetic and it had a fridge in the room. I would... More

Cindy, Thank you very much for your kind review. We look forward to seeing you again. The previous owner's brother is in a wheelchair. He and a very good County employee helped re-design those rooms. We have seven such rooms and all 33 rooms have a fridge and microwave. When you do come back - and for everybody else -... More

Please - ask to see your room first. If we had, we would have gone down the road. I understand it is an older hotel and the owners are working on improvements. But please, wipe down the inside and outside of the doors. I was scared to touch it. Remove the dead bugs from the window sill. Screen on the... More

Hi Julie, Sorry you are not a happy camper. In fairness, guests should always give the hotelier - or any business owner or manager - the chance to make amends as we are all human. Our staff is human and it has been a very, busy summer - seven days per week. In our case, we would have been happy... More

The people who run this place are so kind and accommodating. Example: Knowing we were getting up before the sun to do a hike, the owner brought coffee to our room the night before so we could be sure to have some caffeine! The coffeepot ended up not working, but his consideration for us still blew us away. The rooms... More

Thank you! I am testing our coffee makers to find the broken one. :) I have thought about it and decided to keep coffee makers available upon request. Too much glass breakage and spillage to worry about. But we are absolutely happy to supply the handful we do have to our guests upon request. And we have coffee, muffins and... More

This is a beautiful setting, in the mountain pass, for a hotel. The room was good and comfortable on the second floor. Even though it is right off the highway, we did not hear any road noise. Unfortunately, there was no tv remote. When I called and asked about it, the manager said he would find one and bring it... More

Our family stayed here in June as part of a three week road trip. This was the only lodging that still had a tube TV (in which the cable did not work upon check-in). We were not expecting much, based on the on-line pictures, but the whole facility needs remodeling. The pool deck and tile are in disrepair, the tub... More

Thank you for the review. As you could tell from my replies to previous posts, we have been updating as fast as revenues, man hours, weather, sub-contractors, and seasonal business allow. And, in a first things first order as far as guest comfort goes. New boiler system 2 to 3 years ago, "Real" AC units in our king rooms last... More

We love Georgetown mountain inn, their rooms are always clean and cozy, pool is warm, great location. We stay there at least once every couple of months just to get away from the crazy city life if Denver. I... More
