Choosing Hotel Chamonix was a top choice in Georgetown, even though it was not the cheapest option. We were greeted with enthusiasm and friendliness and all staff were like this from check in to check out. I would highly recommend it. Loved both the hotel and the room décor. The whole hotel is super clean and I liked that it... More

Georgetown is full of quaint charm and history! The Hotel Chateau Chamonix fits right in. With its knotty alder woodwork and craftsmanship to the hand painted number plates (hand painted over seas-I believe in the village the owner is from) on the front AND back of the doors. This is a place where you can feel at home. With only... More

We stayed at Hotel Chateua Chamonix our honeymoon. The polace is very nice and in a great location. They have a hot tub on the balcony and a great view of the mountains. They have a simple and delicious breakfast: orange juice, berries and croissants. Beside the expresso machine in the room. They have very low tolerance with smells. So... More

The hotel is in an alpine style. It is comfortable, and 'walkable' into the centre. The breakfast is the main oddity. It would have suited Howard Hughes. Breakfast is delivered through a little hatch from the corridor outside the room between 7:30 and 8:00. (One of the big attractions of an alpine ski-ing holiday for me is sitting round a... More

Georgetown, an old silver mining town, doesn't have much in the way of excitement or fine dining, but it does offer two things vital to visiting the Rockies: location, and the Hotel Chateaux Chamonix. These are comfortable, clean and attractive accommodations, but nothing too fluffy or puffy. The creek itself is small at this location, but still soothing. We wished... More

And, in truth, it didn't cost all that many pennies. It's in Georgetown- an easy drive to everything from Vail to Aspen, without the expense or dress code. It's about 70 miles from the airport, but is 3300 feet higher than Denver, and for us right-coasters, that first night was a challenge. Drink lots of water and limit the vodka... More

My husband and I, had just one night to stay at this beautiful hotel. We were greeted and the nicest lady checked us in. We were offered wine. The lobby was beautiful and quaint. The hostess/clerk took us to our room. She gave us instructions and pointed out the lovely amenities. This place is clean- clean- clean. We had a... More

This hotel is in Georgetown, Colorado -- a short drive from Mt. Evans and St. Mary's Glacier. It's off of I-70 at exit 228. The hotel is a small 2-storey property. The ground-floor rooms have a 2-person hot tub while the 2nd-floor rooms do not. However, there is a communal hot tub in the 2nd floor. We booked a creek-side... More

You know how sometimes you go someplace and think it's really great, and then you go back some years later and you are all disappointed because it just doesn't seem the same? Well, that's not the case with the Hotel Chateau Chamonix. It is still the first rate place we remembered. Very clean accommodations, most comfortable bed ever, tasty croissants... More

My husband and I spent the night at the charming, restful, delightful, "alpine" Chateau Chamonix to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary! We could not have asked for a more charming place to stay! We had room 103, which has a wonderful king-size bed, a gas fireplace, a deck with a 2-person hot-tub overlooking the Clear Creek River, a coffee-maker, a... More
