The hotel is expensive, but it is in a great location with good accommodations. The bar downstairs is also great, but you pay for it. The front desk staff is friendly, and you can't beat being within walking distance of old town.

Just stayed one night in this historic hotel, was very happy with the accommodations. If in Ft Collins again, we will certainly make the Armstrong Hotel our choice. Right downtown and close walking to fabulous restaurants. Bar downstairs is an excellent atmosphere and staff.

I like the renovated hotel for its small size and location to Old Town. Being a renovated hotel, each room had radiator heat and a standing air conditioning unit; both of which can be very loud, but provide some white noise so you don’t hear the train whistle. Oreo, the house cat, is a nice addition. The front desk staff... More

I always try to stay at the Armstrong Hotel when I am in Fort Collins. I like the comfortable beds, nice shower and clean bathrooms of a modern hotel, but done in a historically meaningful fashion. From this location one can enjoy Old Town and the many good eateries in the area. And I can even open the window... no... More

Central location downtown ft collins, this is a hotel with character and history. Easy walk to several restaurants and shops. The hotel has been renovated all the fixtures seem new, bed is very comfortable and interesting in that it was tucked in a corner of the room. Definitely recommend it for a comfortable stay

The Armstrong is a hotel with a lot of character, perfectly situated in Ft. Collins to allow easy access to the dining and shopping areas of town. The rooms are nicely set up and each room has a different character and feel. We enjoyed our stay here! One tip, the elevators are "quirky" to say the least...to the point of... More

An old hotel in the heart of the city. Have stayed here a couple of times due to its proximity to the courthouse. Its renovated rooms have hardwood floors, original radiators for heat, in-foom ducted air conditioners, wide screen tvs, and down bed furnishings.Clean, spare, and comfortable. Probably below average rate-wise with more modern hotels, but not wanting for amenities.... More

So my husband and I are in to boutique hotels. Our 30th wedding anniversary gave us a wonderful excuse for a long weekend in Ft Collins and a visit to The Armstrong Hotel. We were able to choose our room (they're all different!), have a lovely evening of listening to some jazz piano down the basement bar (Ace Gillettes), a... More

I was really surprised at how large the room was here given that this hotel is such a historic property. The room was nicely decorated, the bed was super comfortable and I never once heard any of the other guests. The amenities were really high end and instead of giving you small bottles of shampoo/conditioner/lotion etc, the bathroom had large,... More

What a little gem. I love well done retro hotels. Lots of details that support the feeling your staying in a 1930's hotel. Someone took the time in interior design to get it right. Good service, cool club in the basement, comfy beds. Walls are a little thin but the hotel got quiet at 11pm.
