We reserved a site here 20 days in advance in hopes of having a great weekend getaway. Far from the truth. This is a terrible camping experience. There is trash everywhere, the dumpsters are in the middle of the 10 sites and they smell horribly. There are screaming children who are off the hook running around uncontrolled. This is a normally quiet and gorgeous USFS campground with great Rocky Mountain scenery. But during a recent stay, day-users (Illegal) took over the campground, which is situated along the river.
