We stayed there 20 years ago, and it doesn't look like they have done much upkeep since then. Poor breakfast, and becoming dated. Needs some TLC. The location by the Silverton railroad is interesting. Do get nice amenites in your room.

First, the view was fantastic! Plus in the morning you got to see the Steam Train go right by the parking lot. That was excellent. The unit was a two story unit, not bad but could be updated. The breakfast was hot, but served in a strange looking room. There seemed to be a lot of the units that were... More

Excellent value for the amount of space. Very workable for 3-4 people or small family due to the 2nd story. Has a breakfast, game room, laundry. But the best part is the location right outside town that is quiet, peaceful and has a excellent view, surrounded by mountains.

After a wayward GPS took us off track, we arrived in Durango 2 hours later than planned and having come from a harrowing trip over the "Million Dollar Highway" at midnight, I grabbed the first place I saw to stay the night. It turned out to be the Iron Horse Inn. They charged me $69 (plus tax) for a room... More

There were several lightbulb a burnt out when we arrived. The entrance is very cumbersome and difficult to get in and out of. I enjoyed the dual story option but the rooms were seriously lacking outlets. The shower head was so low I had to do a squat to get my hair wet. Overall it's would be a nicer place... More

Older, but clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to accommodate us. Cell service was minimal, but the Wi-Fi worked great. Would have liked to have a coffee pot and an iron in the room.

Older hotel with potential. Owners are working to update. They were extremely nice and accommodating. They responded to all my requests promptly. I had memories of this hotel from many years ago when it was much newer. It used to be configured with a livingroom on the ground floor and bedroom upstairs. I prefer the old configuration. Perhaps they still... More

This place was cute, the upstairs was perfect for the kids. Fridge and microwave were great to have as well. Not to far from Purgatory so perfect if your going skiing or boarding also close to hiking trails awesome! !

We got two rooms here for a party of 4. They are dated, smell kind of funny, and are in need of some work. There aren't really any "views" to speak of, even though the hotel's site makes it seem like there are. The trolley is a very short walk away, so that's nice. Dog friendly, which is great. All...
