The best thing about this hotel is it's location. If you get a room on the river side you can pull your chairs outside of your room and watch the rafters and people fishing. It's very pleasant. The hotel is within walking distance to downtown and the grocery store. The staff was very pleasant and very accommodating! However, a continental... More

The hotel itself is fine, the rooms were also fine with everything we needed and clean. We had a room at the back where the river runs close to a side road. There was no fridge and the ice machine was on the other side of the hotel. They have no breakfast or own restaurant, but there is a good... More

We didn't have reservations when we pulled into Durango, and we found out pretty quickly that most of the other hotels were booked up. We pulled into the Durango Downtown Inn hoping we could get a room, any room, after a long day. Thankfully, they still had a couple of vacancies. Our room faced the interior garden and was very... Dear HsitoricHomeLover, Thank you for taking the time to review the Durango Downtown Inn. I am glad we were able to accommodate you on the weekend being as the town and our hotel are busy during the summer. The restaurant you went to is one of many great one within walking distance from the hotel. Stop by next time on... More

I regularly stay in Durango and this hotel one is the best for a boys ski weekend. Location is what really makes this hotel stand out because it is a short-ish walk to downtown (well within stumbling distance after a pub crawl) and fast to get on the road to Purgatory. This motel gives you all the basics; however, this... More

Dear culler83, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. Our downtown and riverside location make this a great location to stay on your trips to Durango. Durango breweries have been growing over the past few years which makes this a perfect spot to stop in and taste some of their great products. We are looking forward to... More

We checked in and were given a handicap accessible room even though we did not request for it. Get in the room and find major issues including mold, cracked tub bottom, and the tub drain was broken. This is not a good recommendation. Luckily we were here just for the night.

We were trying to find a pet-friendly hotel that wasn't so far away from downtown. I've stayed at several other places in Durango before, and honestly, this would be the first time I'd choose to go back to the same hotel. We got a room on the top floor in the back, and the river runs right by it -... More

Our room was near the mainroad and very noisy, but very close to the river and the hicking and biking path. Close to the old town, easy to walk. Durango is worth to visit and the Inn is a good place to stay in. Ask for a gardenroom.

Hotel had very bad sewer problems! I called the front desk because we were unable to use our bathroom all night or in the am . NO ONE CAME TO OUR ROOM TO CHECK IT! When we complained to the front desk we were told "we know we have been dealing with it the last few days Our concerns were... More

Clean room, good rate, good place to start your Durango adventure. Definitely not a luxury place, but if you're just looking for a place to leave your stuff and rest your head at night, you'll be good here. As others have noted, it can get a bit loud, as the door to the rooms are facing the parking lot, but... More
