I stayed in the Durango Super 8 last year (which wasn't the greatest experience-they are going downhill), and did extensive research on the hotels in Durango prior to booking a room for another visit. Since the prices of rooms anywhere in Durango are outrageous, most of the hotel chains I am used to were out of the question. My employer... More

What a great motel! We stayed there two nights. The room was big. It was clean and had updated amenities. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Free internet.

Stayed 4 nights and found this property to be conveniently located with friendly, helpful staff. My only disapointment was that our room, although clean in appearance, had a smell that I likened to that of a gymnasium dressing room. The pool and hot tub were great and the continental breakfast was better than average. I would stay here again but... More

We stayed two nights in two rooms with our family including our grandson . The king rooms were large and pleasant. The thermostat was broken the first night in our room making it too warm but that was repaired when we told them the following morning. The indoor pool was quite cold which was a disappointment as our grandson enjoys... More

Just one of those things...everything about this stay got on my nerves. Started off with the checkin - when the clerk handed me a registration sheet with the wrong (higher) rate, and I pointed it out, her response was "Why do you think you should have a lower rate?" Well, duh, because that's what my reservation is! I asked her... More

After staying at the externally cute but internally dreadful Alpine Inn (I really wanted to like it for its old fashioned charm and nice employees, but our room and bed were DISGUSTING!) a block or so away, we decided to upgrade to the Mountain Shadows for a night. Paid about $65 (off season). Room was well appointed, spacious and clean.... More

The Best Western Mountain Shadows is a good basic motel. It's styled L shaped, a 2-story open typical motor-court kind of thing. It's almost identical to several other motels right along 550 (looks pretty much identical to the Ramada which is 2 blocks away - they look pretty much the same inside and outside.) The location is pretty good... you're... More

We spent one great night at this Best Western, Service at the front desk was great, they told us where to eat at night and they also allowed us to see the room before we purchased it, the floor was very clean and the beds extremely comfy. Swimming pool is good in the evenings, but the infrastructure it seat in... More

Not a bad place to stay. It is an older property but they have tried to keep it up and modern. A good value for this time of year (shoulder season) compared to other places I have stayed in Durango. May not be as good a value during peak season travel to this area however. Clean room, friendly staff, etc.... More

Stayed here for a ski vacation. alothough some of the front desk employees were not that helpful, the overall experience was great. The pool was open and clean. The kid loved it . The breakfast was good. The bedroom we had was great. Very clean, with a fridge, microwave, and very nice bedding. It was close enough to downtown, with... More
