I traveled to Durango on business. Had a choice of a national chain or the Rochester - Leland Hotel. I am so glad I chose the latter. Step back in time to a brick building built in 1892. Polished oak wooden floors, smaller rooms, of course. Ambiance, history, immaculate, lovely. All cotton linens (yea!) and an effort in sustainability that... More

It's an old hotel, which means there's stairs, no elevator, and spaces are small. Mattress was good, albeit not king-sized. (As previously mentioned, spaces are small.) On the plus side: The internet is good. Room included fridge and coffee maker. The location in old town is charming. Parking is provided: Important in downtown Durango. They also provide bicycles for those... More

Thank you for taking the time to review us! Please come back to see us again soon. Maybe next time, you can try out one of our king rooms in the Rochester. They are a bit more spacious than our queen studios in the Leland House! More

The friendly Durango people are alive at this hotel! Charming, historical, Wednesday's live band in their garden. The breakfast, included, is superb. The owners make this hotel uber special. You can't go wrong!

The Rochester and Leland House are fantastic properties, the service is great, the breakfast is fantastic. This was my second time staying here. The rooms are clean, have a ton of character and the beds are comfortable. The rooms are quiet yet very conveniently located. This is an awesome place to stay in Durango.

I can't say anything negative about my stay at the Rochester - EVERYTHING was wonderful. My room overlooked the beautiful courtyard where I ate my delicious breakfast every morning. The Rochester employees were friendly & made my stay comfortable.

The Hotel and the Leland House across the street are located convenient to the downtown area. It's in a quiet neighborhood. The staff are outstanding as I was welcomed upon registration and shown my room by a very polite youngster. The room was modest in size but I was traveling alone. it was very well appointed and spotlessly clean. Breakfast... More

I have stayed at the Rochester Hotel on a monthly/bi-monthly basis for almost two years. Each experience has been very positive, and I look forward to each of my visits. The rooms are large and cosy. They have sitting space for working alone or with colleagues and big, soft beds for sleeping. The rooms can made very dark, which I... More

This was our 2nd stay at the Rochester and we were not disappointed. The staff is amazing - friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are the best we've had in Durango and the atmosphere is relaxed (but you could eat in a hurry if needed). We have enjoyed visiting with the other guests at breakfast. The 2nd Ave. location is perfect... More

AMAZING - is an understatement. We started our trip from Tucson to Candian border back through Durango, CO. With no rooms reserved we were a bit nervous. However, one of the locals recommended the Rochester. We absolutely can't say enough about the stay. The staff is wonderful and our breakfast was wonderful. We loved the bell service and well, everything.... More

I had the opportunity to stay the the Rochester Hotel last week. It was wonderful! The accomodations were very comfortable. The staff was amazing; everyone from the front desk to the early morning chefs were smiling and charming. There was a great concert playing in the courtyard when I arrived. The breakfasts were delicious too! I loved the history of... More
