This is by far the most wonderful hotel/b & b we have ever stayed . The staff is superb and the breakfast delicious every single day. All in all it is a warm western experience. We have stayed with them on several occasions and feel like we are coming home. Location is perfect! H

I love the feel of this place from the warm welcome to the cozy rooms and wonderful breakfasts. I stayed for a week, waiting for end of construction on a new build. I hated to leave when my house was finished. The hotel also hosts music events in its courtyard once a week through the summer and fall. Great spot... More

My favorite place to stay in Durango! The staff is wonderful. They show you to your room and are willing to help you with anything you need. Amazing breakfast and unique rooms, each with their own theme. Great location, just a block from main street. Beautiful outside seating area and bikes to rent. Definitely recommend! We'll be back.

Perfect location for travelers who would like to walk out their door to find everything. We stayed in the Loft room. The separate entrance was nice to have. Also there wasn't any attached rooms to this room. It was located above a shop. It felt more like a vacation rental than staying at a hotel. The room was decorated nice... More

Thank you for taking the time to review us. We are so sorry your room was not as quiet as you would have preferred. We are looking into the issue with the windows. However, we are happy that the rest of you stay was enjoyable! More

I stayed in a suite (room #8) and this room was wonderful. Very quiet and nice sitting area. Beautifully decorated and very close to all of the bars and restaurants in Durango. Love the charm of this place and all the historic photos and furniture. Can't say enough about the service. I forgot some jewelry in the room and the... More

I loved my stay at the Rochester. It's a lovely old building in a wonderful location, a block off the main street in Durango, within walking distance of dozens of restaurants and shops. My room was huge and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was a treat and they accommodated my gluten sensitivity with ease. Every single staff member made me feel... More

This B&B hotel couldn't be in a better location. It's one block from the great Durango downtown area, and because it's on a side-street, it has a calmer feeling. It's a beautiful side-street, too, with restaurants and shops. The building itself feels really old, which makes it feel authentic for its time in history; creaky wooden stairs and the interior... I have so many positive things to say about this lodging that I don't know where to start. First, although it's called a hotel it has the feel of a (admittedly large) B&B. When we arrived we were greeted by the owner who was immediately helpful in meeting our request to change from a king to a double room. He... More

We have just finished a tour of the beautiful state of Colorado. The highlight for us was staying at the historic Rochester Hotel in Durango and getting to know its proprietor Kirk. What an absolute gent he is. Both Kirk and his staff made our stay so welcoming and special. We loved the Hotel and our room and it was... More

Friendly, Family owned - historic brothel from the 1800's! You'll love it. and their included breakfast can't be beat. The rooms are spacious with great beds, the grounds are beautiful—Wednesday afternoons there is live, local music in "The Secret Garden".
