Lightner Creek Inn is a perfect place to stay in Durango, CO (our stay was from 12/26-12/31). The location was super convenient to ski Purgatory and was close enough to downtown that we could run back and forth in minutes to shop and dine. Too, we were able to sled and build a snow fort on the expansive lawn behind... More

Thank you, Marvin and Patra, for your hospitality. The conversation was stimulating, the breakfasts were delicious, the setting was soul soothing and the inn was like home. Perfectly located in the country on a quiet road but just a few minutes from the bright lights of Durango. If you want a beautiful restful place, this is it. And take Marvin's... More

I understand this b+b changed hands at the beginning of 2011. We visited under the new owners who were exeptional hosts with everything thought of, fresh cookies, snacks and coffee available through the day. The most stunning surroundings with lots of outdoor sitting space and a beautiful guest lounge. The breakfasts were high quality with something different freshly cooked every... More

Marvin and Patra have gone out of their way to make this Inn the perfect "get a way" The location is idyllic, surrounded by mountains and trees, giving such a feeling of calm; and yet so close to Durango, where there is so much to see and do. Convenient for visiting Mesa Verde National Park and the Duarango/ Silverton oldtime... More

My wife and I spent two nights at Lightner Creek Inn. It is situated in a narrow canyon about 10 minutes west of down town Durango. We had a room in the main house (about $100/night) and were delighted with our stay. Great breakfast, good coffee anytime, bring a bottle of wine and sit out back and enjoy the aspens... More

This was my first experience staying at a B&B! WOW, Why haven't I tried one sooner? Marvin and Patra are delightful hosts and are so down to earth. The breakfast each morning was fresh and flavorful. Not to mention different each day and very filling. The property is only a couple of miles from downtown Durango which makes its location... More

This is truly an amazing property run by a couple of very attentive and charming inn keepers. They have only been at it about a year, but their attention to detail in every respect is impressive. We stayed in the Alpine which is a very large room for 3 or 4 people with a couple of comfy armchairs, a couch... More

We drove down from Fort Collins, CO and reunited with friends from Idaho and brother in law from San Diego. Perfect out of the way place to come together. Breakfasts were wonderful and varied (we stayed 3 nights). A variety of homemade cookies available all the time. Marvin went out of his way and drove brother in law to the... More

This place is absolutely adorable, the house is nicely tucked away from main roads and totally quiet. Unfortunatelly, we didn't spent a lot of time in their beautiful garden since we had a lot on our list to see and do. Mesa Verde is just 35miles away and Durango is just down the main road. The place is away from... More
