I stayed at the Adobe Inn from January to April & it was a very pleasant & cozy atmosphere. The staff were friendly & there was free pastries every morning. It was so nice to see that they were pet friendly, as well. The room was clean & the bed was very comfortable with nice, soft linen. And when I... More

Friendly front desk, good looking exterior, but shabby and overpriced facility. In-room amenities are a tv, a large fan and a space heater. On the plus side, it inspired us to get on the road very early.

This hotel is located in midtown Durango, not the historical downtown. It is too far to walk to the historic district, especially in the ice and snow. It is very clean and has very reasonably priced rooms. There is a funny plastic feel to the bedding. Danish and coffee for breakfast were just fine. Did not hear noise from the... More

The room, with two queens, was nice and big, bed was very comfortable. The shower was clean and hot. wifi was excellent. Nice, big flt-screen tv with plenty of channels. Heating unit was more than adequate. Room was quiet. Would happily stay there again.

Expectation is simple in a hotel. If the place is clean and quiet then its is not to bad of a place to stay. Adobe Inn failed on both fronts. The room was dirty and at 3:30 am next door was quite loud. When talking with the owner in the morning it is obvious she is checked out of the... More

The front desk lady was not the owner. She had not "checked out", but extremely wary of this guest, so much so, that she asked another guest not to leave her alone with him. Showing up way before opening in the dark, with a socking hat on and upon opening not answering a polite greeting, but going to computer and... More

We used the motel, just as a one night place to sleep that fit our requirements of pet friendly, not expensive for Durango in high season and convenient, but were surprised at how run down it was. The entire property is shabby, the lobby coffee and sweet rolls were almost non-existent with only a couple of chairs cramped against a... More

I believe this guest stayed here as well as somewhere else in Durango and is reviewing two separate properties. We do not have several of the characteristics he/she mentions although another hotel a short distance away does. This hotel does not look old and shabby from the outside. The newest constructed hotel in town was built in the 1970's and... More

I liked the look of this place when I drove past, and despite it being a bit more pricey than another motel I'd checked out up the road, I decided to stay and was happy I did. Room was very clean and smelt fresh, great wi-fi speed, new flat screen TV, quiet air conditioner (though a bit underpowered until I... More

We have just returned from a two week tour around Colorado and stayed at various hotels and this one for the price we paid was by far the worst, with no facilities in the room and no coffee available till 7.30a.m, the air conditioning was noisy and they charge up front for the first night , and the over flow... In addressing this review, I'm not sure what he/she means by facilities. The room has a full bathroom, bed, dresser ,end table, table and chairs, new 32 inch flat screen LCD TV mounted on the wall, carpets and drapes. In reference to a payment made up front, when a guest reserves on line with a booking company it states that... More

The staff at the Adobe Inn are friendly, competent and strive to be helpful. Sadly, they deserve a better facility. Altho our bed was comfortable, the remainder of the room was showing its age. They do allow dogs, which may compel some travelers to stay there; however, if you have choice, look at the alternatives.

This hotel is the only one in america that charges your credit card before you arrive. The room was small musty smelling and no coffee maker, a space heater for heat. We paid over 100$ for this room and it was not worth it. The toilet broke the first night we called to have it fixed and they did indeed... More
