We had been going to this campground for over twenty years, when it was a KOA, Then Durango North, finally it became Durango Riverside Resort. We started out tent camping, then gradually moved to a riverside one room cabin, then to a two room, then the past years we spent in the three room cabins with the bathroom. Finally began... More

We chose to stay at this campground to save a little money since the cabins for rent are much cheaper than the hotels in town. The cabins are small, but they fulfilled our needs just fine. The campground was clean and very family friendly with movie nights each evening for the children. We enjoyed being near the river at this... More

This was a great location along the Animas River just north of Durango. The premium RV sites are right along the river and have full hookups, but you will PAY a PREMIUM for these spots, too. We thought it was worth it and enjoyed the flowing river. It was October and the aspens were beautiful as we drove north of... More

Well priced cabin on the river was awesome. Bring your own bedding, which was fine with us since we were driving. Beds were fine, windows on both sides allowed for a breeze through the cabin and nice heater for early morning chill. Nice porch swing. I just wish the cabin we got had faced the river. We were given the... More

We tent camp here for three nights and our experience was just not very memorable. We checked in on Labor day, which was very busy/loud and that is understandable, we were prepared for that but we were very much looking forward for the next day as it tends to clear out after Labor day weekend. We spoke to one staff... More

The Good: While it is hard to get down to it, the place is right on the Animas River. The swimming pool is heated, and the grandkids enjoyed spending an afternoon swimming. They are located off of the main road and the evenings were quiet and peaceful. The bad: The office hours were 9-6. Not a good time to close... More

We chose the Durango Riverside after another highly rated campground told us we would need to pay for two sites for our two small tents. Not willing to pay > $70 for 3 people to camp, Durango Riverside became our plan A. We reserved a tent site which is apparently necessary during high season. We were a bit surprised to... More

Thanks for q beautiful place to stay w a fun well kept pool, game room, playground. The game room was nice to get out of the rain. Store items are overpriced. River access could be made much better.Showers could use enlarged & we're not big people. We stayed a week, loved it.

I welcome the owner of the park to contact me. The management is inept and rude. The first day of our vacation was ruined due to their inability to manage the park. Apparently the reservation we made several months prior to our vacation(and had a printed copy of) meant nothing to the management. We also left a day early because... More

We booked a stay here in August 14. We were looking for a place to sleep one night; we are tent campers and don't like campgrounds as we find them very crowded and noisy, but the reviews sounded okay and we were coming in late so we weren't sure we could find a place in the USFS for a camp....
