For a budget motel in a five star location in an interesting small town this was value for money . The rooms were clean and breakfast what you would expect ,I would recommend this for a short stay in Durango . I would also recommend the railway museum just around the corner

A very pleasant surprise. Cute, not a chain property and right in downtown Durango next to the train station. We parked outside our door and walked everywhere. Very clean, smallish room. Shower only but lots of counter space in the bathroom. The gal at the front desk was nice enough to check us in a little early which was hugely... More

My wife and I enjoyed our stay because it was very nice but most of all very convenient to the attractions of Durango. It was within walking distance of where we wanted to go. There were some interesting shops and neat places to eat within walking distance. The train station to Silverton was just a short walk from the Lodge.

We went to Durango to ride the Durango -Silverton Train & wound up spending 2 notes in the Durango Lodge. Room was clean, comfortable, steps to the train. Breakfast was the usual expected in moderately priced motel. The place was jammed & parking at a premium. No negatives. We'd recommend it & book again. A+ location for train riders.

First, I think I accidentally voted for one of the bad reviews. I was trying to hit "More." Just spent two nights in the Durango Lodge. I really like the place. Everyone at the front desk were courteous and professional. Room was clean. Noticed they are renovating several rooms. Good sign they are serious. Love the fact it is only... More

Just got back from a quick stay in Durango. Though the Durango Lodge is not "high end" or fancy, it is comfortable & conveniently located. With the money you save on the cost of your room, you can splurge on the other things that you wish to do. The rooms are comfortable enough & clean. Surprisingly quiet for being right... More

Very nice room. Everything was clean, very friendly staff, and a solid continental breakfast to get our day started. Only complaint was the temperature in the room. It was 76 in there and even with the A/C on it never cooled off. Everything else was perfect, great deal for the money and will stay again.

We visited Durango in mid-March, staying 4 nights at the economical and perfectly located Durango Lodge. It's a no-frills hotel and why not? You visit Durango to be outdoors, experiencing new restaurants, and exploring downtown. The room was immaculate, beds comfy, bathroom small, but practical, and the outdoor jacuzzi was plenty hot. Very standard breakfast selections came with the price... More

Just stayed there for two nights. It was a nice location within walking distance to most of the downtown Durango shops and restaurants. Overall a decent stay. Room was decent. If you are the type to go to bed early, I recommend trying to get an upstairs room. I was in room 104 which is the spot that pretty much... More

The lodge is in a great location, a short walk to the train station and main street. The lodge is surrounded by high cost hotels and Inn's yet they keep their prices reasonable. The first night we were there we got the dreaded room 118, it was right by the stairs and yes it was noisy, so the next day... More
