We own a Condo in downtown Durango. We rented our daughter 5 nights at the Durango Lodge. It is walking distance to our condo and thought it would be perfect since our condo is really crowded when all our children are with us. The first night we arrived and they checked in then sink did not work, they reported the... More

As the owner, I am very sorry for your experience with the Durango Lodge. We have been there since the beginning and hate to see this happen. As those two room just went thru a deep clean, I cannot understand how this happened but do sincerely apologize and are glad that you were able to find a room nearby. Judi... More

From the western-style false front facade and small parking lot, you'd have no idea that the rooms here are as large as they are. Breakfast in the lobby is minimal. The location is ideal. The Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge RR is less than a block away. The location is great for walking to bakeries, restaurants, and shops. The "A Shared Blanket"... More

The rooms are clean and spacious BUT having the housekeeping staff knock and come in at 8:20 AM was a bit over the top. USE the Do Not Disturb sign since the front desk does not inform housekeeping of check outs.

After researching rooms & prices for the 4 days we were staying in Durango we settled on the Durango Lodge and were not disappointed. The location is perfect tor the railroad plus all the historic downtown restaurants and stores. This is an older property, so don't go in thinking you are staying in a cookie cutter chain. That said the... More

The rooms are very tiny for the price we paid. The breakfast was on the lower end of those we have had in the past. A lot of carbs, not a lot of choices. The TV remote would not work. When asked about it, the front desk lady, pretty much tossed another one and said "try this one." It was... More

We were looking for a Hotel close to the Durango-Silverton Railway Station so we would not have to search for parking. Durango Lodge was perfect. The Hotel was very nice and a good value for the location. The staff was most courteous.

Being from overseas I like to stay somewhere convenient so I don't have to drive so much, so this hotel fitted the bill perfectly. Its location meant we could walk to a different restaurant every night. It was handy for the silverton train, and perfect for accessing the main street. The rooms were a bit small but clean, and the... More

Whenever I visit somewhere for the first time I want to be as close to the action as possible. This only applies to small town America. And Durango is such a place. That being said, I wanted lodging near Old Town. The Durango Lodge fit the bill. Why would anyone stay miles away on motel row when this lodge is... More

We stayed for 2 nights at the Durango Lodge this past Labor Day weekend. Though a little pricey, room itself was more than serviceable. It was neat and clean, and the A/C was great. But the best thing about the Durango Lodge is its location, right at the end of Main, within easy walking distance of all the great shops... More

I chose this spot for its proximity to downtown, and was not disappointed. The pool was super clean, beds were comfy. Plenty of parking and right across the street from Poppy's, a great sandwich spot. We were there one night, it was a great stay! The only reason for a 4-star was the price, $160 for a double queen.
