Most other Wyndham resorts have much larger rooms and are much nicer, but are located in the boonies. This is the exception. It is located two short blocks from the historic train station and the Main Street shopping district. Sure, Wyndham could have built a huge resort out of town, but that wouldn't be convenient for seeing Durango. As it... more

Would not stay here again. Was hoping for a relaxed 4th of July weekend but found the unit to be very small. There was a small kitchen area equipped with utensils but they were all dirty!!!! gross. Was also looking forward to the "24 hour hot tub" that is clearly advertised in the guest confirmation documents as well as the... more

We stayed here for one week. Although the room was clean, it was very hot (in April) with no way to control the temp other than opening the sliding door (which made it very noisy). Refrig was also noisy, ran constantly, and generated a lot of heat. Rooms above us had ceramic tile floors and we had to listen to... more

(First - the pictures shown are of the Hampton Inn and NOT from Wyndham Durango.) My wife and I stayed at Wyndham Durango from May, 11 thru May 16 and in spite of some negative sounding information we basically had a good time and enjoyed Durango and the surrounding area very much. I knew from Wyndham’s own web site that... more

Stayed in this hotel through RCI membership. Was very disappointed expecting "Golden Crown" rated hotel be much nicer. Very small rooms, no view, no pool, no good ventilation, heater controller is very old and it is very confusing how to use it (seems like there are 2 positions: on and off), hasn't been updated in a while. Will not stay... more

My wife and I stayed at Fairfield Durango for one night on our way back to Denver from Arizona. We are Fairfield owners and have stayed at many of their resorts, this is by far the smallest one we have seen. They only have one bedroom units and no pool but you can use the pool at the best western... more

We just returned from a week stay at the Fairfield Durango. We are Fairfield Timeshare Owners. This is a Hotel that was refurbished into a Fairfield. Therefore much smaller resort than anyother resorts we have visited. It was very clean, very nice and helpful staff. The units are all 1 bedroom with small kitchen that is part of the living... more

We visited on a time share tour offered by Fairfield Resorts. We were greeted warmly, given directions to the local hotel we were to stay in, and given our tour time (the next day). The tour was excellent with no "arm twisting" that comes with so many timeshare tours. The Fairfield Durango units are mostly one-bedroom, just adjacent to the... more

Do NOT purchase a vacation from Fairfield Resorts that requiring a tour of the resort!!! Upon arrival at Fairfield Durango, a four hour drive over 3 mountain passes for my wife, she was informed that a tour guide had called in sick, they were short staffed and our tour would have to be rescheduled (If we could not have given... more
