I am giving this campground a very good because of the service we received during our 1 night stay. We arrived limping, one of our camper tires was in shreds. Traveling from Montana it was late and we were crippled and we arrived right in the middle of their ice cream social so it was very busy for them in... More

Took my Boy Scout Troop to Durango Colorado to go explore the mountain ranges in our Jeeps. Everyone at Lightner Creek, from top to bottom, made our stay one that my boys will remember for a lifetime. Exceptionally clean bathrooms, wonderful activities and amazing staff made this a truly wonderful experience. It is VERY hard to please 24 boys ages 12-17... More

If your looking for a GREAT campground, this is the place! Tucked back in the hills about 5-7 minutes from Historic Downtown Durango. Our family was only suppose to stay for 4 nights before traveling onto another destination. We loved it so much we changed our plans and stayed the whole duration of our trip! They were very accommodating and... More

If you plan on doing anything in Durango, choose another campground closer. No cable or wifi. Pretty grounds are ok except when you're twiddling your thumbs with nothing to do late evening. They charge you $5.00 to cancel a reservation made online. Plus $10 to cancel even right after making rhe reservation. AVOID!

This place is charming, friendly, very clean bathroom facilities, has a staff that works tirelessly on your behalf, heated pool, a creek through the site, general store that will meet most of the basic needs. The property is fairly close to the city of Durango (maybe a 10 minute drive). If you like to camp than this is a great... More

This is an awesome campground. Staff goes out of there way to make sure you are comfortable and that your site is exactly what you are looking for. Stayed two nights and will definitely come back. Motorcycle friendly and really make you feel welcome. I especially want to thank the Army veteran that works here, him and all the staff... More

We recently stayed at Lightner Creek for 4 days during an around-the-country RV trip. I have absolutely nothing but great things to say abut the place! It's clean, surrounded by beautiful scenery and everyone is SO nice. Site 39 is RIGHT on the creek! Beg for it when you book! We would return in a heartbeat!

I really enjoyed my stay at the campground. It was refreshing to jump in the pool. The staff were friendly and helpful:) I camped out with friends and we rented the campgrounds little propane fire pit to roast marshmallows. My friends are kind of the rowdy type so it was tricky to keep it down after 9 pm...

My family fell in love with this site in Durango. It was clean, the heated pool was fabulous, a little creek ran behind our rv (which the kids loved to play in), and the staff was amazing!!! There was an ice cream social the night we arrived that was just delightful. Everyone are us feel so welcome. We didn't want... More

We were very delighted when we pulled into Lightner's! Spotlessly clean park, beautiful surroundings, polite employees! Clean bathrooms and camp spaces. This park is a jewel! We requested a spot next to the creek and we were accommodated! We could hear the creek trickle at night which was extremely soothing. The park is a family park minus the noise of... More
