If you have ever dreamed of camping in the Colorado mountains next to a babbling brook, this is the place for you. This camp site is tightly run with clean, well thought out sites & facilities. Phone service is not great & internet not good. A great place to get away. We loved hearing the brook all night. Close enough... More

We stayed in a housekeeping cabin for a week in August. The cabin is just right for a family of four, who is active outside of the campground, during the day. It would be a little too tight next to neighbors to enjoy relaxing at all day. The inside is small, but, is well furnished, fully equipped, clean, and has... More

This is a very pretty place. The staff are very, very nice. I don't recommend it for a Class A. There are couple of spots good for Class A. The road here is 1 1/2 miles of twisty hilly road then a steep drop into the campground. Spots are so close you can shake hands out your window. We were... More

My family and I spent 5 nights at Lightner Creek before heading north for the 4th of July. The stay was fantastic. The family that owns the campground are as great as anyone you will find on the road. They campground is well maintained and absolutely beautiful. We were driving a 42" motor coach and stayed on the creek. I... More

I went to this campground initially for tent camping but discovered they had camping cabins for only minimal additional cost, so I changed my reservation. The cabin was basic: a bed where I could spread out my sleeping bag and shelves to hold my stuff. No water, no toilet, no electric power. But it worked for me and was near... More

Beautiful campsite. Spaces were gravel, which was uncomfortable for sleep in a tent. We enjoyed the heated pool. The ladies room was nice and clean with a great hot shower. Husband said the men's room was a wet mess. They didn't allow open fires, but they rented propane fires. It served it's purpose. Quiet and peaceful.

We stayed at this campground the week after the Fourth of July. We have a tent trailer and the accommodations for us were perfect. Great hookups and a nice spot out of the way - though we had campers of all types (tent, RV, and trailer) all around us. The campground itself is located south of Durango and back off... More

We will be back! Probably the nicest place we have ever stayed. The owners are so helpful and accommodating and the site is beautiful--lots of trees, and with weather permitting, lots of water in the creek.
