We reserved site 4 online. When we got there site 4 didn't have enough tree coverage to help protect from the possible rain. We asked the camp host if we could move to site 5 and he was happy to oblige. The camping was great. Some road noise. LOTS of stream noise (nice). The pit toilets were the cleanest I... More

The campground itself was fine, nice spot not too close to others with a picnic table and fire pit. Access to the Colorado Trail, (though the access point near the entrance to the campground which is kind of annoying) which was beautiful and an easy hike. The bathrooms were way cleaner than I expected and somehow smelled good. At one... More

This is the way camping should be. This is a lush campground in thick tall pine forest. It's set in the hills/cliffs high above the actual creek for which it was named. Very spacious, level, shaded sites with decent privacy between sites provided by trees. The campground hosts drive around to greet you and check you in at your site.... More

We stayed here in an RV from Saturday 8/16-Saturday 8/23 and had a great time. My parents had driven out from NY with their RV and my dad rented another RV for my sister and 2 kids to stay in. We were able to get a double lot so that both rv's were on the same campsite. It worked out... More

Stayed two nights. Great hosts deliver firewood to site. Nice large site with best nonflush toilets I have ever seen. However road is terrible with several violent washboard sections that will shake your car apart. Will not go back again unless road is fixed.

This Campground is well maintained by the staff. This was probably the cleanest campground restroom I have ever been in. I was actually a little shocked at how clean it was! Campsites are situated with lots of room in between, the individual sites well maintained. For those who want to camp in the mountains, but still have a town accessible,... More

We spent 4 nights at Junction Creek Campground this July and had a great time. By great I mean there was no noise, the campsites were clean and well maintained and we saw the camp host at least once a day doing their rounds. The campground is located up a small gulch/canyon just outside of Durango. You can walk or... More
