Not knowing what a KOA is like - the family was very happy to experience the KOA. friendly, good local knowledge, the cabin, well, it's a cabin made of wood. As with most people this day, happy to see a few power outlets for some items requiring a desperate recharge. Durange itself semed lovely, we arrived late, didn't get much... More

We were new to KOA when we rented our RV and quickly came to love them. As a whole they seem to be consistent with good wifi, services and sites. The owners here were beyond great and I would recommend this site to anyone.

This is by far the best KOA I have ever stayed at!! Everyone that worked there were GREAT!! The camp sites were all very nice in size and leveled off perfect!! The bathrooms were a dream!! Music while taking a shower? Awesome!! And they bake and sell their own pies in this place!! What could be better?

We originally planned on tent camping, but upgraded to a lodge. They gave us a pamphlet at checkin stating bears have been spotted and to keep coolers locked up. I would seriously reconsider tent camping! The advertisement stated there was no kitchen, but we ended up having a refrigerator, sink and microwave. I was happy about this, but annoyed that... More

Every July we go through Durango on our way to Cortez. It just wouldn't be the same without a stop here. The delivery to your camper of Pizza & pie is wonderful but the food itself is AMAZING! We always preorder 2 full pies so we have pie the rest of our trip and one for a gift for someone... More

This KOA is amazing! It's very kid friendly. My kids LOVED panning for gems and fossils and mini golfing as well as swimming. The (not free) strawberries and cream waffles were delish! All the staff was super friendly and helpful. When I was checking in I noticed they had some bags with free produce from the garden. I helped myself... More

This is one of the best KOA’s we have stayed at- super friendly, great location- relative to Durango, CO attractions, and the pizza delivered to our door was awesome! We stayed in New Studio Lodge with full bathroom including tub/shower and it was wonderful! These ultra-nice KOA cabins also have a fridge, sink, microwave, queen bed, 2 bunk beds, table,... More

My family and I have stayed at Durango KOA three times over the years including Aug 2014. We have always stayed in one of the cabins ( 2 room and lodge). The value for Durango is great as hotel rooms are very expensive. The value is even better with the lodge cabins as they have many creature comforts of home... More

Rented an RV in Denver for a trip to the Grand Canyon , spent 1 night here. Bathroom's and showers were clean, enjoyed the ice cream social after a long day on the road. No firepit at our site, had to make a fire in the outdoor grill. Noticed some other sites did have fire rings. Staff was helpful and... More

The campground is nicely designed for easy access into and out of RV spots. A trickling stream meanders its way through the park. There are ample, secluded spots for tents. The bathroom and shower are located in private units. Be sure to take a flashlight if you decide to take a bath at night. The outside gets pretty dark! I... More
