This is a very pretty area in the Animas Valley. Convenient to a lot of attractions. Problem is the manager who is drunk and rude on a regular basis. The only thing we see him doing is sitting on the porch trying to get everyone to drink with him. This park is so antiquated the sites are horrible. You can... More

We stayed at Alpen Rose June 28-July 5, 2014. We checked in Saturday night. Sunday the pool was out of commission, and draining into the only other area my kids could play in...the playground. This was a huge selling point for us and our kids, so that was disappointing. We had to go to the Rec Center in town to... More

I have planned big family outings there and never can I get a reservation for a site that I request. Same old thing, but the last time I stayed they pushed me off into the grass with the bugs. Across the way the site we had requested was vacant for almost the whole time we were there. That was it... More

This is an excellent rv park. Well run, clean, efficient staff. Nice views of the mountains in the front section, and tall trees in the back section. Level pads with grass between spaces. Good clean restrooms, showers and laundry. Park has store with some food items and rv supplies. You can order pizza nightly, and they will deliver it to... More

Pros - big trees, large dog park, decent bathrooms, full hook up at the sites, good price, friendly staff Cons - location is five miles from center of downtown, WiFi is unreliable, no cellphone reception, most sites are dirt with little grass, most sites our not level, older crowd

We stayed for 2 nights. Were treated exceptionally well. Nice grounds, lovely trees, very clean laundry and showers. LOV the free popcorn throughout the day. They also offer pizza delivered to ur rig. Breakfast served daily frm 8-10 for a fee. The only negative is the sites r not level. We has 20 leveling blocks and it still wasn't enough. Our... More

We have gone to this campground for over 20 years! They are always friendly, efficient and helpful. And the bathrooms are SO clean! They've added pizza, too. You can order and have it delivered to your site. Good for dinner after a long day of driving. This campground is highly recommended.

Great that it was one of the closest places to town. In fact, you could get to the bike trail a couple miles down the road. Great dog park, nice pool, breakfast and camp store, but would have been nice to have a spa jacuzzi. Many of the spaces face each other which limits your privacy. Lots of work campers... More

We have been RVing for over 40 years in all 48 states and Canada. During that time, we've met mostly wonderful people and have had wonderful times. But that was not the case here. This was the worst experience we've ever encountered. I say all that because I can not repeat on this family friendly site how badly we were... More
