Durango is a great little town with great scenery. Much to do and great places to eat. The Lodge is kind of far from Durango. The Resort has much to offer. The rooms were fine but we could hear voices and TV from the room next to us. Housekeeping was below average...didn't make the bed or replace the shampoo. Front... More

This hotel was very clean and extremely spacious. The kids loved the activities like the alpine slide and the bungee trampoline. There is a family room with a movie every night (however there is also a foosball table in the same room as the movie so if there are other kids in there you can't hear the movie. For the... More

Our condo was beautifully appointed, with furnished balcony overlooking the mountains. My children loved all the activities right outside of our door (esp the alpine slide and fooseball), so they were never bored. We also hiked quite a bit nearby. It was a 30-min drive to Durango, which seemed longer every time we drove there.

This is a ski lodge but the summer attractions make it a year round destination. We took 2 of our grandchildren, ages 8 & 9, here for 5 days. We hiked, bungee jumped on the trampoline (their favorite), bobsled rode, panned for gold, hampster ball flopped around and fished. They had a great time and we did too since the... More

Calling this place a "Resort" is a stretch at best. The rooms were comfortable but "Resort" suggests a bit of luxury and the Durango Mountain Resort is not luxurious by any means. The restaurants are terrible. The service is poor. The staff is unknowledgeable. With a little leadership this place could be much better but for the most part everything... More

If you don't mind the cacophony of parties from 10PM to 4AM, this is an acceptable choice for lodging. If you are looking to get a good night sleep to enjoy SW Colorado's splendor the next day, go somewhere else. The buildings in this complex form a canyon where sounds reverberate from building to building. It's abominable and there's little... More

Positives: We stayed in a spacious, updated condo for a large family reunion with families staying in 3-4 condos on the same floor (5th), often with many congregating for dinner in a larger condo. Great pool and hot tub, friendly concierge, fabulous views. Negatives: The Manager kept interrogating guests about how many were staying in our room, despite previous arrangements... More

We stayed in the Cascades section, Snowden Building in a privately owned condo. The condo was much nicer than staying in a hotel room with my husband and granddaughter but it was definitely bare bones. They supplied what they had to. We made breakfast almost everyday but my husband had to make the bacon in a soup pot. There is... More

We had a 2 bedroom unit here. All the 2 bedroom units face towards the pool area, and look out either over (on the 3rd or 4th floor) or at (on the 2nd floor) the HVAC units for the clubhouse. The units themselves do not have air conditioning, so in the summer it is a must to have the windows... More

We had a wonderful suite, 950 square feet, with complete kitchen, washer and dryer, balcony overlooking the resort ski lifts. Check in was fast and courteous. Parking was inside and roomy. two large screen LCDs with Dish Network. WiFi was very fast and responsive. Used the ski lifts to access the hiking trails... scenery is beautiful. Also used our resort... More
