This place felt like it was straight out of a horror movie. Have you have seen "The Hills Have Eyes"? because thats how my family felt while staying here. The bathrooms looked like they had not been cared for in months, seriously gross..... seemed like homeless people invaded the grounds. The male grounds keeper kept saying in appropriate comments to... More

We camped here in a 27 foot Class A motor home for 2 weeks. This is our second extended visit. We do not tow. This is a classic family-owned campground for both campers of all classes and tents. There are equal parts pull-thru and back in sites that are almost all level featured on three different levels in this hillside venue.... We stayed here a few nights. Since we mostly explore an area while camping, we did not stay at the campground a lot. We stayed on the upper level, overlooking other campers, the Animas River, and the Durango-Silverton RR. We had a water and electric site. The bathrooms and showers were very clean and although we didn't use the pool,... More

A good clean camp ground. We stayed for six nights. When we checked in they informed us that there was no cable TV. And of course free WIFI. Sure its free when it doesnt work. If you were lucky early morning was the best time. It was a rainy week so cable and WIFI would have been nice.

We stayed 3 nights while traveling and exploring Durango. RV sites are decent and staff is nice. Free cable advertised but not available. Free internet very slow when it worked. Did not use bathrooms or laundry so cannot comment. Pet friendly.

The best thing going for this place is the Durango Train passes by the campgrounds. Site are level and gravel. It was had to get ATT in the camper and the Internet was not that great. Worst, they advertise having all rhea great cable stations and had NONE. No cable service at all. The showers we small and the bathroom... More

United Campground in Durango is set in the woods with beautiful views AND all the amenities you would want while camping. Initially we booked just one night at United coming on a recommendation from two or three other previous campers. It was getting towards the end of season and a few of the Durango campgrounds were closed. I left a... More

Although there was considerable open grass space, tent campers were crammed together - each site within a few feet of another. Bathrooms a long way off - longest distance a football field away and then doors had push buttons locks on them. Also very windy as the wind at times roars down the valley, blowing over tents. Owner not very... More

We first stayed at this campground in 1976. It is very well maintained with quite a few large, level sites that will accommodate larger rigs. The last time we stayed here (that would have been the 3rd time we stayed), probably in the late 80s, we were in a pickup with a camper on it. This time we were in... More

We stayed here for 4 nights. We had a wonderful spot just up the hill from the train tracks. Our boys loved watching the trains to by everyday. The showers/bathrooms were clean. The laundry room was huge and the machines worked great. We used the trolley our last night there with no issues. Can't wait to go back!
