I can't imagine where you would find a five star hotel in Durango, Co. If that's what you are looking for, you are in the wrong town! We were booked for one night at the Siesta Motel on Sep 22nd. It was our first stay at this particular motel and we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms might not be large... More

Older style family motel in a great location. While the rooms are a bit small there was a stove, fridge, microwave and coffee maker so it was easy to self cater. There is also a free BBQ. Free trolly bus stops almost outside the motel which was great for accessing the train and city centre. Owners are very helpful.

I give the Siesta Motel 3 stars at best. Yes, it's a blast from the past, kitschy and all that. But the room was small with a lot of furniture stuffed in it but only one night stand - one of us had no light and had to put glasses on the floor next to the bed. The bathroom was... More

This motel looked a delight at the northern end of Durango's Main Street. A kitsch independent with plenty of character, with restaurants a plenty nearby. The room itself was a touch small and incredibly stuffy. A heater was next to the bed which seemed impossible to turn off. I suspect it may have been powering the hot water for part... More

We stayed at the siesta in sept.for one nite. it was an older property that is family owned. Not a cookie cutter hotel. We enjoyed the charm. Rooms were clean beds comfortable and reasonable. would stay there again. only complaint was the heater had been lit due to cold weather and it warmed up. even on lowest (no off) we... More

A nice place to stay. Very friendly staff. The room was very clean. The amenities were few, just like in the old days! There is nothing fancy but we had a good night's rest and that is what we wanted. They may have had a hair blow dryer at the front desk but there wasn't one in the room. They... More

Normally for business travel, my husband and I stay at large, brand name motels. If that is what you are looking for, this little motel is not it. Instead, this motel gives you personalized notes in your room, friendly service at the front desk, free wifi and a parking space right outside your door. This is a third-generation, local family-owned... More

A quaint little mote; clean and very quiet. Parking right at your door and you can hop the FREE trolley to go downtown and back. Nothing fancy, room is small, but the price is very reasonable. I would certainly stay here again if traveling to the Durango area.

Spent two nights here on our motorcycle trip. This is a well-kept motorcourt, with small but clean rooms and friendly staff. A great alternative to the chain hotels, close to good eateries and on the main drag with free trolley services to downtown stopping 50 yards away. Biker friendly.

I admit to being a hotel snob. I have to admit that this little motel satisfied and exceeded to blow all of my concerns away. The room and outside area was quiet, VERY clean and has a wonderful, quirky personality of the Route 66 motels from years ago. It had all the little touches you could ask for - soap... More
