I've stayed here many times in the past and still recommend it. It's nothing fancy but clean and well kept. As I was traveling, I received a personal call to know when I was going to arrive in the event they needed to make special arrangements for getting in late. At checkin, they upgraded the room based on availability although... More

This motel has a family atmosphere and each room is unique in its decor and design. The location works perfect for us when we visit Durango, and in the morning, we can hear the train and smell the coal burning while the steam engines are tended! The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. We will return for another stay.

I booked through hotels dot com after reading the trip advisor reviews. It is a nice little motel, reminding me of the ones I used to frequent on my road trips of my mis spent youth. The furnishings were funky chic I guess, some one just loves garage sales and flea markets and knows how to put their found treasures... More

I'm always on the lookout for older motels that are locally owned, have been nicely refurbished, and are well run. The Siesta fits the criteria. Stayed here for a total of 5 nights spread over two different weeks in October 2015. As with other older motels, the rooms are small (at least the ones with 1 bed), but since I... More

We spent the night in Durango visiting friends and we LOVED the Siesta Motel! Our doggies loved it too! And it was easy to take them for walks in the neighborhood surrounding the motel. Staff were warm and friendly. The rooms and grounds are well-kept. We will definitely stay there again!!

Clean, comfortable, cozy quiet.. The place is obviously well cared for. It is a bargain, best motel I have stayed in by far. We had a little kitchenette to use. The management was super friendly. I would highly recommend this place, and hope to return soon.

Stayed here for 1 night while travelling solo. Room was clean and comfortable. Internet and newer TV were a plus. I would suggest updating the linens, too many layers, 1 thick comforter would be nice. The only downside was the construction that started at 830am, new gutters were being put up and men were drilling into the building right outside... More

Warm and friendly greeting at this family owned motel. Room was comfortable and cozy and competitively priced. I was given good instructions for an opportunity to photograph the Durango-Silverton train in the country. Will stay at the Siesta the next time I travel through the area.

Traveling through on a road trip and found this place on TripAdvisor. Nice place to stay. In town shuttle bus right out front. Clean rooms and nice service. Its a small mom and pop place, but would definitely stay here again!

We booked 2 nights at the Siesta Motel on the recommendations from others on Tripadvisor. This place is a gem! The rooms are small, as expected from a vintage motel, but the place is spotless outside and in. Never have we slept in a more comfortable bed! And the pillows were great............I'm very fussy about pillows! We will certainly return... More
