old, small, squeaky-clean--good bed--small fridge--coffee maker--it was 9 degrees in durango, but the thermostatically controlled wall furnace kept the room toasty--there was no alarm clock in our room, but I always take my own anyway--owned by an American family that wants your business--best deal in durango

Old but very clean and well kept motel. The owners clearly cares about the place, the outside looks very clean and tidy. The room was very clean but quite dated. Some noise from the road so get one of the rooms further away from main road. In our room the fridge was rather noisy. One of the cheaper alternatives in... More

For our recent vacation, we chose to avoid chain lodging and stay in older, classic properties where possible. In Durango, we found the Siesta Motel - a real winner. This family owned classic motel was charming. The owners were friendly and very helpful providing recommendations for dinner which was walking distance from the motel. The rooms probably look much like... More

Friendly desk clerk. Small room, but lots of care and character. Well-maintained, clean. On our bed was a towel twirled to look like a flower. Varnished plywood walls like the old days. Only one nightstand. No free breakfast.

Can't say enough about the hospitality we received from the owners! Great rooms, very good prices, Would I stay there again or recommend this motel - ABSOLUTELY!!! The bed was comfortable, the linens were soft and absorbant, they don't serve breakfast but that was not important to us - we wanted to go out for the local breakfasts anyway (why... More

The rooms are beautifully appointed in western, southwest decor and are clean and comfy. But they've gotten carried away with the lights/electrical access and seemingly are more set up for the summer. The bathroom has a great updated shower but was quite cold in Room 18, where we stayed. There are switches near the entry door that control wall outlets... More

Very reasonably priced for the time of year in Durango. We just needed a motel for the night since we had an early morning flight, so didn't care about amenities we wouldn't have time to use. Still, we had a flat screen TV and outlets for all our gadgets. Linens were very nice, the place was clean, and the bed... More

I have stay at the Siesta Motel over the years and it is always clean and neat with great personnel and management. Nice and convenient to downtown Durango. They also have extra big rooms for more than 2 people. Nice and quite at night. I love the sign also.

Very nice lady checked me in and was very helpful giving me train and restaurant tips. I had the single queen which is the smallest room they have, it was compact but fine for my purposes. The motel is on the north side of town, bad if you want to be close to the action, but nice if you don't... More

The owner checked us in when we arrived. Gave us good advice to go pick up our train tickets so we didn't have to wait in line in the morning. When we arrived at our room, the towels were in a flower pattern on the bed. The room was very clean and large. It looks like it was remodeled and... More
