We stayed at the Highpoint Condos up the road from the Lodge. Our condo was clean and well decorated and we had lovely scenery. We enjoyed the ice hanging from the roof in front of the windows. The facilities at the lodge were great (although another hottub would be great during busy seasons!). Very clean and the staff were pleasant... More

My fiance and I celebrated our engagement at this resort. We stayed in unit #114. It is one of the privately owned units. The unit is beautifully decorated in a wonderful mountain/country motif, close to the pool, laundry and the dining (Hamilton Chop House). It featured a king size bed, dining are, kitchenette, TV, VCR, DVD. Very spacious and roomy... More

Our stay in Durango was exceptional! We had great weather for the time of year. Around 15-18 during the day and nice criply cool nights. We hiked in the mountains and there were free trails not far away. We rented bikes for cheap and biked up in the mountains. For a calmer ride, there was a beautiful paved trail running... More

We have stayed at Tammaron each summer for the past several years. Each time we have had a great experience. It is higher than town and has cooler temperatures. Nice and quiet location with no town traffic or noise. Great scenery and amenities. The kids love the pool with indoor/outdoor swim through wall. Wife and I love sitting on the... More

If your expecting a nice clean room this is not the place for you. The Lodge at Tamarron was a huge disappointment in every way. There web-site is very mis-leading 1. Our room was a filthy mess, the carpet was very stained, beds barely made with bedspreads and linens that looked 20 years old. Several lights did not work as... More

When we got to the resort, they checked us into a nice resort room with a loft bedroom. We liked the room, but unfortunately we found that it wasn't the room that we had booked. It had a sleeper sofa in the downstairs living room, a gas fireplace, a big kitchen with granite countertops and a regular stairway up to... More

During the end of March, me and a few of my buddies decided to stay at the Tamarron for a snowboarding trip. It was a tremendous experience and a tremendous stay. I would highly recommend this resort.

Hi everyone, I am writing to clear up any confusion about Tamarron. We stayed at a privately rented condo at Tamarron last summer and loved it! Tamarron is a condo complex located 17 miles north of Durango and 8 miles south of the Purgatory/Durango Mtn Resort ski area. It's a beautiful property with a main lodge made and three clusters... Stayed at Tamarron for a week long ski trip Feb. 20-28 at Durango Mountain (Purgatory) which is 8 miles up the road. The mountain and skiing were great and we'll go back, but we had some issues with Tamarron and dont know if I would stay there again. First problem was finding it.. We drove around for an extra 45...
