This is our first visit to the Lodge and it we are very pleased. We had Rm 513 on the top floor with wonderful VIEWS! We booked on Orbitz and felt we got a good deal for the level of accommodation. Plenty of room, nice Mission style beds, soaking bathtub, good kitchenette & 2 nice closets. Quiet! We didn't hear... More

Tamarron is perfectly lovely...and significantly nicer and less expensive than most comparable places in town. We love that the rooms are individually owned. Yes, some are better than others. Though some appear stuck in the 70s, most have been updated to varying degrees. And they all have perfectly functional kitchenettes...not just mini-bars and a 4-cup coffee pot. We stayed in... More

This is not a hotel. As described by another reviewer, "the units are condos, owned by different people. Rented by either Tamarron, Durango Mountain Resort or by the owners themselves. So in staying there think less of what you would expect from a hotel but rather from renting an apartment or condo." I cannot emphasize this enough. Im frustrated by... More

I do NOT recommend this hotel. I booked online, which I thought was directly with this hotel, not thru a hotels.com or other site. Only to find out that they have NO restaurant or room service and the closest restaurants is 15 miles away. The hair dryer did not work in the room, so I called for a replacement, only... More

Our soccer team's stay at the Lodge at Tamarron was great! They did such a great job of facilitating our needs- not only with the rooms, but with providing areas for the team to spend time together. The girls greatly enjoyed the large pool, and the parents were able to enjoy the hot tub and other amenities as well. We... More

Make sure you are going to absolutely make it or you can afford to lose your whole purchase if you don't make it. Or book through a site like travelocity or somewhere where they offer some real reservation protection. I booked resos through resort website. First mistake. Should have booked through hotels.com or something, have never had problem canceling reso... More

The people are amazingly nice and try so ultra hard to please. But don't expect Vail, Telluride or Beaver Creek type conveniences. This lodge is pretty on par though with what's available throughout Durango. Spring Break is ultra booked up so plan ahead if you come early March. Our room was 342. It was inexpensive but probably because it lacks... More

There were kids in the adult hot tub. You can't have alcohol anywhere. The Cliffside bar and grill was closed. This is a retirement home for the dying. I would never recommend this place to anyone. No one will be sorry to leave.

We stayed in lodge Pinecone 848 for a week and really enjoyed it! It is fully equipped (despite the broken dish washer which was not repaired during our stay) with a very comfy bedroom. The view was spectacular from the very spacious livingroom. We would definitely book this lodge again for a next stay!
