We arrived and was greeted by the owner. He had just made some popcorn and I jokingly asked if he delivered that to the rooms. He said he would !!! He made us feel like old friends and we laughed and chatted during our check in. The room was very clean and well taken care of. The next morning at... More

I stay at the DMI when i am in the Dolores area. Very Clean. Well run. Basic and comfortable. In the center of town and easy access. Great stop if you are traveling, if you push trough to Durango or to Telluride hotels are 4 or 5 times as costly for the same type room. Will recommend to my friends.

I booked two room for two nights, and when i booked them, i asked for them together. When i got to the motel, i was put into room 112 and 114...Now, you would think that they would be together...They were not. Room 112 was facing the restaurant on the north side and 113 was facing the south side.. You could... More

Lars, will make you feel right at home, and loves to talk. Be sure to check out his little shop, full of Native American pottery and other items of interest. Rooms are clean and comfortable, what else would you want ? This will be my 'go to' motel when traveling in the area. Restaurants are a problem in the little... More

Holding true to my previous reviews of managing my expectations of location appropriate comments I found this hotel to be very good overall compared to others in Dolores - small town Colorado with nothing more than 3+ star available this friendly place is clean & well priced ! Just what I expected

I stayed here at two different times the summer of 2014. We had great visits. Sandy and Lars made us feel right at home. The Dolores Mountain Inn is a comfortable place to stay in southwest Colorado. Nice rooms, close to fishing, and in the middle of Dolores. If you need a place to stay in Dolores, this is it.

Stayed here 3 times, son lives in town. Not fancy 1950s motel but always clean. Tired rooms and 1970's decor. If you're looking for a clean room, this is it. If your looking for 4 Seasons, this ain't it. Be careful , Lars, the owner, is a talker. Friendly staff . Good beds.

Stayed two nights enroute to Glenwood Springs in June 2014. Amazing value for money. The room was clean and well equipped. Everything we needed was nearby...The Ponderosa do a great breakfast and the staff are lovely! Sad to leave this place.

We stopped here on our way to Arizona for one night. We had stayed here several years ago when hiking in the area, and we remembered it as being a pleasant place to stay. The last time we were here, we had a room on the back side, but this time our room faced the highway, which was pretty close.... More

I had a great time staying here. I had read a couple reviews beforehand and they were accurate. The owner, Lars, is really great and friendly. He also makes the MOST AMAZING COFFEE I have ever had; it is always available in the lobby - you MUST try it! We brought our two dogs (only $10 extra/dog) and got a... More
