Stayed here 3 times, son lives in town. Not fancy 1950s motel but always clean. Tired rooms and 1970's decor. If you're looking for a clean room, this is it. If your looking for 4 Seasons, this ain't it. Be careful , Lars, the owner, is a talker. Friendly staff . Good beds.

Stayed two nights enroute to Glenwood Springs in June 2014. Amazing value for money. The room was clean and well equipped. Everything we needed was nearby...The Ponderosa do a great breakfast and the staff are lovely! Sad to leave this place.

We stopped here on our way to Arizona for one night. We had stayed here several years ago when hiking in the area, and we remembered it as being a pleasant place to stay. The last time we were here, we had a room on the back side, but this time our room faced the highway, which was pretty close.... More

I had a great time staying here. I had read a couple reviews beforehand and they were accurate. The owner, Lars, is really great and friendly. He also makes the MOST AMAZING COFFEE I have ever had; it is always available in the lobby - you MUST try it! We brought our two dogs (only $10 extra/dog) and got a... More

Traveling through the west this summer we needed a clean place to overnight on our way from Grand Canyon National Park to the amazing mountain town of Leadville, CO. While we could have made it in one day, we wanted to visit Telluride along the way. Not one to spend 300-400 a night (Telluride) we looked nearby finding Dolores, CO.... More

We stayed in this place and liked it very much. Although there is a negative review about this place, we only can recommend it. The owner Lars Bjorkqvist is a nice lad and brews the strongest and best coffee in this place. We also recommend to visit Susie Sieber's Rio Grande Southern Restaurant. It's a hotel too and the oldest... More

On the last night of a 4,000-mile motorcycle trip, we stopped in Dolores and found the Dolores Mountain Inn on the main drag. Tia was nice about switching us to a different room when we didn't care to be in front right next to the highway. There wasn't much traffic anyway. Our room was nice & clean with a mini-fridge... I just completed a 5 night stay at The Dolores Mountain Inn and it was a great stay. The suite was clean, comfortable and had a big screen HD TV. The owner "Lars" makes a wonderful pot of coffee every morning and always has time to visit. The location is perfect. One block from the Dolores River and two blocks... More

We were in Dolores for an agility trial and were pleased that the Dolores Mountain Inn allowed dogs and did not charge a huge "pet fee". The rooms were clean and cool and quiet. We have already made our reservations for next year!!! Loved the location and nearby restaurant that had carry-out!!!

Very nice management, let us check in early after a disaster at another place. Very spacious 2 room suite with a full kitchen and table. Lots of room! Right in the heart of Dolores, close to many restaurants. Good price.
