I picked this hotel, while in town on business, and was excited about it. People have complained about the size of the room and bathroom, neither of which bothered me. What did bother me is that management seems to have thrown in the towel on upkeep. For example, I asked for a refrigerator and was told sure, one would be... More

Booked in here because we wanted to stay somewhere quirky. Well it is that and although previous reviewers have said it is shabby, I don't agree. The decor is the way it is to reflect the fact that this is an old hotel. None of the carpets, wallpaper, lights etc are shabby they are deliberately "old" but are in fact... More

A second visit to Denver, and first time stay at The Brown Palace Hotel. Pricey and classic. Accommodations, ambience, location, service, and weather made our Colorado visit with family uniquely memorable, as the hub for our mountain tours.

The history is amazing. The stay is not. Noise carries from the atrium and is amplified by it. This includes piano playing and conversations. Both carry into guest rooms quite loudly. Items in the room frequently break or are faulty. This includes telephones, television remote, plumbing, doors. Towels and amenities are infrequently / unreliably replaced or replenished. The mattress sagged... More

As an historic location built in the late 1800's what do people expect? Really … If you come here expecting a giant master suite and bathroom with shower, jacuzzi tub and his & hers sinks, then keep looking. That's not why you stay here. Yes, the rooms are small and yes, the bathroom even smaller, but this place was built... More

Dear Stephen K, It is amazing how you can step into the lobby and be able to have a glance of what individual’s saw in 1895, 1910, and 1940. We understand that our hotel brings a unique experience for travelers, and appreciate when our guests are able to enjoy the history. We apologize if your stay was uncomfortable, or you... More

the hotel had great bones, the rooms were clean but....for almost $500 night I expected more. My room size was fine however I did expect to see a hotel at least have some electrical plugs near the desk for charging phones and laptops. none...found one and near the Keurig coffee machine and it was dead. Keurig machine was dead too... More

"Olde Worlde" hotel in downtown Denver which gives it points for location and proximity to the Conference Center. It also gets a few points for a coffee maker in the room with pretty good POD coffee. However, its basically an old expensive hotel, living to some extent on past grandeur and history. Having just come back from Vietnam and less... More

Normally quite overpriced for what you get, compared to resorts like the Broadmoor. However, they have an excellent high tea, a quaint bar in The Ship Tavern, and an incredible Sunday brunch for special occasions. The hotel rooms are pretty average. However, the hotel is deemed to be haunted and carries that thrill of excitement for families and young kids.... More

The hotel is very old and outdated. There is no amenties, the rooms are tiny, I mean tiny. The Bathroom is so small you can even sit by the toilet paper, the toilet is smashed between the wall and shower. You can't even open the shower door because it smashes into the bathroom vanity. The rooms are really small as... More

I love an historic hotel, and the Brown Palace certainly qualifies for that distinction. But the rooms tend to be small (with some notable exceptions, more on that in a minute); the housekeeping lax; and in Denver, certainly, there is probably much better value for the money. My room was almost laughably small, with a queen bed occupying much of... More
