Yes, the Marriott Tech Center does need to renovate the rooms as other reviewers have noted but my room, 1001, was spotless when I arrived and kept that way during my three day stay. Front desk guy was rude. His name badge showed, he is from KY and also he is the supervisor for the night shift. Bad /rude behavior. I lost all my pleasure of stay after his talk. I am not going to come back. Bad customer service.

Check in was a breeze and the staff is super-friendly. Rooms are serviceable and clean but in need of some refurbishing. Beds and linens are comfy and high-quality. Stayed for 1 night for business. This was a disappointment. First, I really felt this hotel did not meet what I expect in cleanliness for the Marriott brand. I stayed at the Marriott in a fifth floor room that had a balcony on the internal atrium. The room itself was clean and the bed fine. Was disappointed during recent 2 night business trip. Room was shabby, including frayed carpet and water damaged door. Shower didn't drain, resulting in water rising to my ankles during a shower. Hotel room standard, with very small bathrooms. Common areas bright and very nice, but individual rooms mediocre at best. This hotel is 45-minutes from the airport and on an expressway, so very loud. Highlight was the concierge staff and bell-hops helpfulness!
