Was a little nervous after reading reviews. No air conditioning a big minus first day there but next nights were cool enough. Never stayed in room in daytime, too much to do in Denver sovwe were gone til dark. Great location, one block to bus. Coffee shops, good bar right around corner, library up the street. Had a room with... More

I had a 'European' style room, room with sink and public washrooms down the hall. This is not a high end hotel, but if you are on a budget, and have experience with budget hotels, this is a good one. Staff is friendly, it's reasonably clean, and it's efficiently run. No air conditioning, another typical budget hotel detail, but the... More

Stayed here with my adult daughter. We had a private with bunk beds and sink. It never dawned on me being from the south that Denver shared 98 degree temps and it was "sweltering" in the room. There was no ceiling fan, but a small table fan. My mattress was covered in plastic so it was so much worst. They... More

SRO would be a better term for this place than a hostel. Had to take a single room as the dorm spaces were full. $50 for a room with no air-conditioning, not even a fan on a 90 degree night with a window that opened on to a noisy alley way. Non functioning power outlets. Needless to say I will... More

Stayed in a private room, shared facilities (probably with 50 others) ...... A bed that had some kind of plastic sheet, I just laid on top of the covers. A window only half covered by a blind, the lower portion opaque glass, nice silhouettes being cast onto the busy street outside. No A/C really hot, but GIANT fans roaring in... More

Interesting place, this. Old historic building with lots of character(s). Really cool staff who can and will answer nearly any question you could possibly dream up. Front desk is staffed 24/7.. Sl--o-o-o-o-w wifi, but lots of coffee shops and the Denver Public Library nearby all have wifi. Hot due to lack of air conditioning and/or fans in rooms, but that's... More

It isn't worth trying to sleep here - because you will not sleep. Whether it's the fact your blinds don't work, there is no fan or a/c, or if it's just the fact that bars nearby attract the loudest, most obnoxious people you can imagine - there are dozens of reasons NOT to stay here. Put up a few extra... More

The place has heaters, just not ac, your only other option is just tiny fans. Old school feel with a helpful friendly staff. Rooms are efficient like most hostels. And the location downtown is awesome! Kind of seems like there are a few homeless folks that stay here, so it might not be good for families.

Location, location, location!!! It's the definition of centrally located and the lowest price I could find in town! It's just 3 blocks to the Capital Building and only 2 away from 4 different museums. Top 3 nightclubs are in a block radius with restaurants and even a neighborhood grocery next door! I found the staff very pleasant and more than... More

Not a comfortable or luxurious experience at all, but very affordable and in a convenient location. The room was not climate controlled, the bed was not particularly comfortable, but you're right across the street from a bike rental station, next door to a market and near a couple museums. Worth it for budget travelers, but don't expect anything new than... More
