Stayed for a Couple nights and should have ran after The first. Got eaten alive on first night by bed bugs and the owner told me to switch beds and they would spray , and they rented the same bed that very night knowing it had bugs. The secons night a kid overdoses on heroin and the maintenance guy said... More

Absolutely a hostel run by travelers for travelers. 10 bed dorm rooms with kitchen & bathroom in each dorm. Very accommodating friendly management., located just blocks from downtown. It also has a library and a separate movie room with comfy seating, and tons of movies.

I would honestly recommend people avoid this place. The building itself and the rooms are perfectly fine with clean bedsheets and reasonably clean bathrooms and kitchens. However the biggest problem is the way it's run. The hostel is not only for travellers but for run-aways, and people on DSS looking for work. The issue being these guys are there for... More

Booked through hostelbookers.com. Paid a small fee to hostelbookers with the rest to pay there plus tax. In total it should if been about 33d for 2 people. Me and the girlfriend. They Tried to confuse me with math and a board with prices at reception but I kept reverting to what was previously agreed online on the phone, but... More

This is not, I repeat NOT an International Youth Hostel. This is a Boarding House. If you are looking to meet other backpackers, good luck. Most folks staying here live here. I show up and they're closed. I called the number and Dick came and opened it for me. One good thing about this place? Owners are nice if not... More

I will include an edited version of an e-mail I just sent a good friend. I stayed at this hostel with mixed reviews 6 months previous and on my return trip I was very impressed. My room mate was very friendly as well. "The gentleman who runs the place has cleaned it up and even put privacy hospital curtains around... More

To tell the conclusion first, I like this guest house. It was not like American. I like the ivy covered wall, very old door, paticulary, I remember the rug was very old. I would like to go again.

It's actually a converted apartment complex in the downtown-East side of Denver, and has off-street parking, which is a damn good thing because in Denver if you park anywhere ON the street you WILL get at least a $150 ticket no matter where you park, what near, what not-near, no matter what time of day it is, no matter what... Actually, I'd still feel bad for the homeless if they had to stay here should they manage to raise the $15p/d (which is quite feasible actually). I'd arrived from the airport in the evening and gone straight to this hostel which was an old red bricked former apartment building half covered in climbing ivy - very nice. The first guy... More
