Came down to Cripple Creek for a quick getaway. Room #7 was very nice with the attached sunroom overlooking the town. I had pre-ordered a wine & cheese plate which was very nice before we headed down the hill for some gambling. Make sure you make time for a nightcap in the Boiler Room bar with Don the bartender in... More

The Hotel St. Nicholas was a marvelous place to stay! My girlfriend and I were recently there at the end of the Valentine's Day weekend and enjoyed our stay immensely. When we booked, there were still quite a few rooms remaining (for a Sunday night), however, by the time we had arrived they Sold Out! I believe that speaks to... More

In late October we spent a night at the unique and wonderful Hotel St Nicholas. This place is really cool --- every room is different and they're all extremely nice. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. There's a hot tub on the rooftop deck, a dry sauna on the second floor and a really cool little bar in the basement. We... More

We went to Cripple Creek for our anniversary weekend and stayed at the St Nicholas for one night, wish we had stayed both nights here instead of the other place but we were already prebooked for the weekend. We arrived around 4ish and were able to peek in on the other rooms before the rest of the guests arrived. All... More

We arrived at the Hotel about 2:00 and went in to see if we could get checked in. The lady helping us, Candace, said that we had to wait until 3:00 pm, but did we want to see the room? We agreed and went up to look it over. It did seem much smaller than originally expected. We did get... More

So glad we stayed here. Beautiful rooms that are all unique. The Boiler Room bar is a hoot with Don. Had a couple strange things happen that spooked me a little. The tv in the empty room next to us was on a channel with snow...thought I was walking into the Poltergeist movie. Lots of strange sounds in the night.... More

I cannot say enough good things about Hotel St. Nicholas. From the moment Candice checked us in to the last time we walked out the door, we were made welcome and treated like family. We were in room 1 which was spacious and very comfortable for the 3 in our party. Be sure to stop by the Boiler Room Tavern... More

This hotel has charm with an amazing history. Great location with amazing views of the mountains. This old miner's hospital has lovely rooms and im pretty sure it is a little haunted! We had a great stay in a very comfortable bed.

First time to this hotel last year, but not my last. I've booked again this year for Biker week. Old western charm with it's own twist. Not all the creature comforts you'll fine at the Hilton in Aspen, However, your not in Aspen. This is a taste of western life and I for one love it. Be aware that the... More

My husband and I and another couple traveled through Colorado this past week. We spent the night at the St. Nicholas and absolutely loved it! The staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this wonderful old hotel to anyone wishing to stay somewhere besides boring chain hotels! Jill Sjoblom
